Die Ausstellung “Sehnsucht” entstand
durch die Zusammenarbeit zwischen
dem Premio Arte Laguna und der
GALERIE ISABELLE LESMEISTER, die das
Künstlerpaar Tania Brassesco & Lazlo Passi
Norberto als Gewinner des Special Awards
“Artist in Gallery” im Rahmen des 9.
Premio Arte Laguna gewählt hat.
Seit zehn Jahren fördert der Premio Arte
Laguna die zeitgenössische Kunst und
fungiert als Mittler für die Verbreitung
der Kunst und die Beteiligung der
Öffentlichkeit auf internationaler Ebene.
Es werden Beziehungen zwischen Themen
der bildenden Kunst, Multimedia und
Performance hergestellt und er gibt den
Künstlern konkrete Möglichkeiten für
ihre künstlerische Entwicklung und den
Start einer professionellen Karriere. Durch
die Kreation von spezifischen Projekten,
die von Venedig aus in der ganzen Welt
propagiert werden, entstehen jedes
Jahr Dutzende von Partnerschaften
mit Stiftungen, Museen, Galerien,
Künstlerresidenzen und Unternehmen.

The personal exhibition “Sehnsucht”
stems from the collaboration between
Arte Laguna Prize and GALERIE ISABELLE
LESMEISTER, which has selected Tania
Brassesco & Lazlo Passi Norberto as the
winners of the Special Prize “Artist in
Gallery” for the 9th Arte Laguna Prize.
For 10 years Arte Laguna Prize has
been promoting contemporary art,
creating dissemination channels and
an international public participation; it
motivates the relationships among people
who work in the visual, multimedia
and performative arts world; it creates
concrete opportunities of growth and
of launch of the professional career
of artists; it generates special projects
which spread from Venice throughout
the world, building lots of collaborations
with foundations, museums, galleries, art
residencies and companies.
An international network has been built
and it is growing and strengthening
every edition and every day a system of
relationships made by people and ideas is

Einzelausstellung in der jeweiligen
Galerie realisiert wird. Eine der neuen
Kooperationen für das Jahr 14.15 ist die

For two years Arte Laguna Prize has
been collaborating with the art galleries’
world creating the new format “Artist in
Gallery”, which induces the partnership
to make a careful selection and gives the
opportunity to view the international
contemporary art, looking towards Europe
and the East through bigger and bigger
projects year after year.
The galleries which take part in “Artist in
Gallery” have the opportunity to view a
large array of artistic proposals, selected
by an international jury of experts in
contemporary art, and among these
proposals they can choose the artist with
whom to organize a new exhibition and
not only.
One of the new collaborations of the year
14.15 is the one with GALERIE ISABELLE
LESMEISTER and this catalogue published
by ODE (On Demand Edition) collects the
achievements of this project.

Die GALERIE ISABELLE LESMEISTER
wurde von der Kunsthistorikerin Isabelle
Lesmeister Ende 2010 als Galerie für
zeitgenössische Kunst in Regensburg
gegründet.
Das Ziel der Galerie ist es, junge, nicht
arrivierte Künstlerinnen und Künstler
zu fördern, die nach 1970 geboren sind
und an Kunstakademien ausgebildet
worden sind. Diese sollen im Rahmen
klassischer Galeriearbeit nachhaltig
unterstützt und auf dem internationalem
Kunstmarkt etabliert werden.
Dabei beschränkt sich die GALERIE
ISABELLE LESMEISTER nicht nur auf die
Region: durch ausgewählte Messeauftritte
und die Zusammenarbeit mit Künstlern
aus der ganzen Welt beweist die GALERIE
ISABELLE LESMEISTER internationalen
Charakter. Auch die Zusammenarbeit mit
Partnergalerien und den verschiedensten
Institutionen trägt zu einer weltweiten
Vernetzung von Künstlern und

The GALERIE ISABELLE LESMEISTER was
founded by the art historian Isabelle
Lesmeister at the end of 2010 as a
contemporary art gallery in Regensburg,
Germany. The aim of the gallery is to
promote young, not established artists,
who were born after 1970 and have been
trained at art academies.
Within the framework of classical gallery
work they are strongly supported and
slowly and consciously established on the
international art market.
The GALERIE ISABELLE LESMEISTER is not
confined to the region. Selected art fairs
and cooperation with artists from all over
the world prove international character
of the gallery as the collaboration
with partner galleries and a variety
of institutions contributes to a global
network of artists and art connoisseurs.
In addition to several art fairs the gallery
shows each year about five to six
temporary exhibitions works from
Kunstkennern bei.

Bildthemen, und der bewusste Einsatz
von alten, traditionellen Techniken zur
Realisierung der Kunstwerke machen die
Einzigartigkeit des Schaffens der Künstler
der Galerie aus.

(Venedig, 1986 - Verona, 1984) arbeiten
als Künstlerduo auf dem Gebiet der
Kunstphotographie. Ihre Arbeiten wurden
in Galerien, Stiftungen und Museen in
mehreren Städten wie New York, Paris,
Mailand, Rom und Venedig ausgestellt
und erhielten bereits viel Anerkennung
der internationalen Kunstszene.
Tania Brassesco & Lazlo Passi Norberto
(Venice, 1986 - Verona, 1984) work
as artistic duo in the field of fine art
photography. Their works have been
exhibited in galleries, foundations and
museums in several cities as New York,
Paris, Milan, Rome and Venice obtaining
important results in the international
scene.
Ihre wichtigsten Gruppenausstellungen
waren in Rom im Palazzo delle Esposizioni
2012 und in Paris in der LA MAISON

im Jahr 2013, die Ausstellung „Under

Die Werke des jungen Künstlerduos
wurden in diversen Einzelausstellungen
in Venedig, Rom und Mailand gezeigt.
Ihre letzte Einzelausstellung mit dem Titel
“ECHI” fand 2014 im Museum CUBO Centro Unipol Bologna statt.

Deutschland eine Auswahl ihrer Arbeiten
von 2010-204.
Es wird ein Querschnitt durch ihre
Fotoserien präsentiert, der es dem
Betrachter ermöglicht sich in die Tiefe
ihrer künstlerischen Welt und ihrer zarten
Bildsprache zu begeben.
Ihre Werke sind eine Verschmelzung
von Fotografie, Film, Performance und
Installation und bilden die Synthese
ihrer künstlerischen Fähigkeiten. Diese
gewähren dem Künstlerduo bei der
Ausführung ihrer Arbeiten im Bereich der
inszenierten Fotografie völlige Autonomie.
Skizzen und Ideen verwandeln sich in
reale Sets mit Kostümen und Requisiten.
Wie bei einem Filmset werden die
Szenen auf das sorgfältigste und äußerst
detailgenau realisiert, was sich am
Ende eines langen Prozesses zu dem
fotografischen Bild herauskristallisiert.
In ihrem künstlerischen Universum
versucht das Duo die intimsten
und geheimnisvollen Aspekte der
menschlichen Natur, in einem zeitlosen
Raum und an der Grenze zwischen
Realität und Irrealität, auszudrücken und
zu erkunden.
Ihre introspektive Forschung spricht eine
universelle Sprache. Melancholie und
Einsamkeit, aber auch Entdeckung und
Eskapismus sind in ihren eindrucksvollen
und fast schon ätherisch charmanten
Arbeiten zu finden.
Es handelt sich dabei um visuelle Poesie,
die Echos aus der Vergangenheit zum
Leben erweckt und in einer neuen
Formensprachen inszeniert, wie in der

allowing to enter in depth in their world
and artistic imagery.
Their artworks, a fusion of photography,
cinema, performance and installation, are
the synthesis of their skills that enable
them to be completely autonomous in the
execution of works related to the world of
Staged Photography. Sketches and ideas
turn into real sets, costumes and props.
The scenes are carefully realized in detail
like a set for a movie, crystallizing in the
end the whole in the photographic image.
Serie “The Essence of Decadence”, wo
die Seele des Fin de Siècle Gemäldes in
einer fotografischen und persönliche Art
und Weise interpretiert wird. Hier werden
Verbindungen der existenziellen Krise
dieser Zeit mit der unsrigen geschaffen
und die unsterblichen Gefühle der
Porträtierten reflektiert.
Echos und Erinnerungen, zeitlose Bilder
sowie Spiegelungen von unruhigen
inneren Visionen, wie in der Serie “Fairy
Tales Now” bieten uns eine Flucht zu
imaginären und traumähnlichen Orten
und bringen uns mit der Serie “Fading
Flowers” in eine stille und dunkle
Dimension des Bewusstseins.
The artistic universe of the duo tries to
express and explore the most intimate
and mysterious aspects of human nature
realizing scenarios suspended in a timeless
space, at the boundary between real and
unreal.
Their introspective research speaks a
universal language. Melancholy and
loneliness, but also discovery and
escapism are represented in their work
creating evocative images and ethereal
charm. A visual poetry suggesting echoes
from the past coming to life in new
forms, as in the series “The Essence
of Decadence” where the soul of the
fin de siècle paintings is interpreted in a
photographic and personal way, creating
a link between the existential crisis of that
time and ours, and reflecting immortal
feelings. Echoes and reminiscences,
timeless images also mirroring troubled
inner visions, which in the series “Fairy
Tales Now” offer us an escape to

The product, the printing and the finish
are extremely important and the passion
for this work comes right from the
product and from the art printing which
has been realizing for decades.
With its production of “low-price” art
catalogues, Ode wants to meet the artists’
requirements, taking into consideration
the periodicity of their creations and
the circulation of their works of art and
it assures the constant renewal of the
catalogues by printing a dozen copies or
at most one hundred copies.
The aim is to make the catalogue a
concrete trace, to hand in or to send
it packaged to the public of gallerists,
curators, art collectors, potential
customers and art experts in general.
