Peter Volberding, Gastwissenschaftler an der Professur Internationale Beziehungen und Internationale Politische Ökonomie Peter Volberding is a 5th year PhD candidate in international relations at the Government Department at Harvard University. His dissertation examines the evolution of national development banking in the post-WWII global economic order. In particular, it focuses on the important role that Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) has played in creating the norms of development banking and how KfW has promoted these norms in developing countries, especially that of China, Brazil, and Eastern Europe. While in Frankfurt he will conduct archival research and interviews at KfW.
