Mounting platform for prism
in protection frame
The platform made of perforated plate can be mounted on the object without the prism. Care has to be
taken only on the orientation of the long side of the platform towards the total station.
The prism can be screwed on and off the mounting platform, with 6 bores in the frame bottom, which ﬁt
to the screws on the platform.

• the prism in protection frame can be mounted with up to 6 screws on the platform. 3 to 4 screws are
sufﬁcient though and a forced-centered mounting with an accuracy of ±0.2 mm is possible

Screwing directly onto the object with the centric
bore Ø 8 mm
The bore Ø 8 mm is located in the vertical axis of the prism. When removing and reattaching the
carrier or when the alignment of the prism has to be changed to various tachymeter positions a centering
accuracy of ± 0,1 mm is possible.

The platform made of perforated plate is mounted without prism on the object. After that the U-Beam is
put up on the M8 stainless steel thread of the cylindrical carrier and after alignment of the prism to the
tachymeter screwed on with a hex nut. The centering accuracy is ± 0,1 mm.

The cylindrical magnetic base is screwed onto the U-Beam with a M8 hex nut. Afterwards the prism can
be used on every magnetic metal surface. The build-in magnet in the base is holding the prism reliable.

PRO-Leica-Adapter for prism in U-Beam
The quick release PRO-Leica with one-handed operation is screwed with its M8 male thread in the U-beam
and secured with a hex nut.
Then the prism can be put onto every standard Leica stud bolt Ø 12 mm. The lateral locking latch in the
quick-release allows the rotation of the prism in each direction, but prevents the prism from falling out.
