Der Text ist eine Aneinanderreihung alter Songtitel, die zum Teil Eintagsfliegen waren, zumeist aber von Gruppen stammen, die mich grundsätzlich mit ihrem Liedgut musikalisch geprägt haben. Für alle, die das Rätseln satt haben, habe ich die Bands und Interpreten angegeben. (Natürlich weiß ich, dass der Song Spirits in the night von Bruce Springsteen geschrieben wurde, doch Manfred Mann’s Earthband hat ihn bekannt gemacht) Aufgenommen habe ich den Song im Sommer 2011, die Akkordfolge ist jedoch fast so alt wie meine erste Gitarre. Im Lauf der Jahre gab es drei verschiedene Textversionen mit ganz unterschiedlichen Inhalten, die ich alle wieder verworfen habe. Erst dieser Text mit den alten Songtitel hat mich überzeugt.
