Monika Brandmeier Weiches Licht Neue Skulpturen
& Fotografien aus den Neuziger Jahren
„Weiches Licht“ ist nicht nur eine Einstellungsoption im Bildbearbeitungsprogramm Photoshop, sondern auch eine Kondition tatsächlicher Verhältnisse –
für die Fotografie, aber auch für die unmittelbare Wahrnehmung von Gegenständen. Das Licht formuliert den Schatten, der die Gegenstände mit ihrer Umgebung verbindet, es konditioniert also auch unsere Wahrnehmung. Wie scharf,
also wie isoliert, oder wie eingebunden in ihren Zusammenhang wir die Gegenstände der Welt interpretieren. (M.B. 2015)
„Weiches Licht“ zeigt neuere skulpturale Arbeiten von Monika Brandmeier, die
den Raum zwischen Werk und Wand, deren Unterseiten und Abstände thematisieren. Gegenüber gestellt zeigt die Ausstellung Fotoarbeiten der 90er Jahre,
analoge Farbfotografien und Belichtungen montierter Negative.
