Uwe Peschel wird neuer Sport Direktor
Mit Uwe Peschel, Dennis Sandig und Jean-Jacques Loup konnte das Roth Gruppe
professional cycteam drei weitere renommierte Persönlichkeiten gewinnen und sein
sportliches Führungsteam komplettieren.
In der Funktion des "Head of Sports" trägt der Berliner Uwe Peschel die Verantwortung
für die sportliche Leitung. Er leitete derzeit das zweite Trainingslager auf Mallorca und
bereitet das Team Roth minutiös auf den Saisonstart an der Mallorca Challenge vor.
Der frühere Radprofi war ein Spezialist der Zeitfahren und gewann 1992 an den
Olympischen Spielen das Mannschaftszeitfahren. In den vergangenen drei Jahren war
Uwe Peschel als Sportlicher Leiter beim russischen World-Tour-Team Katusha tätig.
Mit dem Italiener Alessandro Spezialetti und dem Romand Jean-Jacques Loup verfügt
das Team Roth über zwei weitere Sportliche Leiter, die langjährige Erfahrung im
Profigeschäft mitbringen. Neu ist der Frankfurter Sportwissenschaftler Dennis Sandig
zum Team gestossen, der als Coach vor allem die vielen jungen Talente des Teams
Roth weiter entwickeln wird.
Der Saisonstart erfolgt für das das Roth Gruppe professional cycteam bereits am
kommenden Donnerstag (28. Januar) an der viertägigen Mallorca Challenge (UCI
Kategorie 1.1). Danach folgen die Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana und die Rundfahrt
Etoile de Besseges, die beide zur UCI-Kategorie 2.1 zählen (3. bis 7. Februar).

With Uwe Peschel, Dennis Sandig and Jean-Jacques Loup the Roth Gruppe professional
cycteam won three renowned personalities for its sporting management crew.
In the function as "Head of Sports", the German Uwe Peschel is responsible for the
sporting management. He is currently in charge of the second training camp in
Mallorca and prepares the team Roth minutely for the start of the season at the
Mallorca Challenge.
The former professional cyclist was a specialist of time trials and in 1992 won the
team time trial at the Olympic Games. During the past three years Uwe Peschel was
working as a sporting director for the Russian World Tour Team Katusha.
With the Italians Alessandro Spezialetti and the Romand Jean-Jacques Loup the Team
Roth has two more sporting directors with great experience in the professional
business.
The sports scientist Dennis Sandig from Frankfurt joins the team as a coach to help
the many young talents of the team Roth to develope there skills.
The season opener for the Roth Gruppe professional cycteam takes place on Thursday
(January 28th) at the four-day Mallorca Challenge (UCI Category 1.1) followed by the
Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana and the stage race Etoile de Besseges, both belonging
to the UCI Category 2.1 (February 3 to 7).

Avec Uwe Peschel, Dennis Sandig et Jean-Jacques Loup le Roth Gruppe professionel
cycteam a trouvé trois personnalités de renom pour son équipe de gestion sportive.
Dans la fonction en tant que "Head of Sports", l'Allemand Uwe Peschel est le
responsable de la gestion sportive. Il est actuellement en charge de la deuxième camp
d'entraînement à Majorque et prépare l'équipe Roth minutieusement pour le début de
la saison au "Mallorca Callenge".
L'ancien cycliste professionnel était un spécialiste des épreuves de contre la montre et
en 1992 a remporté le contre la montre par équipe aux Jeux Olympiques. Au cours
des trois dernières années Uwe Peschel a travaillé comme directeur sportif pour
l'équipe russe du World Tour Katusha.
Avec l'Italien Alessandro Spezialetti et le Romand Jean-Jacques Loup l'équipe Roth a
deux autres directeurs sportifs avec grandes expériences dans le domaine du cyclisme
professionnel à sa disposition.
Le scientifique de sport Dennis Sandig de Francfort rejoint l'équipe en tant que coach
pour aider les nombreux jeunes talents de l'équipe Roth à développer leurs habiletés.
L'ouverture de la saison pour le Roth Gruppe professional cycteam aura lieu ce jeudi
(le 28 Janvier) au Mallorca Challenge (quatre jours, catégorie UCI 1.1), suivie par la
Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana et la tour Etoile de Bessèges, tous deux catégorie 2.1
(3 à 7 février).
