Erst hört man nur das Plätschern der Wellen. Allmählich kommen Kinder ins Bild. Sie tollen am Strand, matschen mit Sand und Erde, spritzen sich nass, haben Spaß miteinander. Irgendwann findet Nina sich
allein am Ufer wieder. Über die Felsen klettert sie immer weiter in die
Natur hinein. Wie die Wellen den Sand verwischen, so spielt die Animation mit Bildern, die sich immer wieder aus den Unschärfen der Farbüberlagerungen ergeben.

Studierte Fotografie an der Universität in
Coventry. Schrieb das Drehbuch zu NINA 2011
als Artist in Residence in der Abtei Fontevraud,
Frankreich.
Maria Körkel 1973 in Heidelberg geboren.
Studierte Visuelle Kommunikation an der
Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach sowie
Animationsfilm an der Kunsthochschule La
Cambre, Brüssel. 2011 Artist in Residence in der
Abtei Fontevraud, Frankreich.
Emmanuel Elliah Born in Marseilles, France
in 1984, he studied photography at Coventry
University in the UK. He wrote the screenplay
for NINA in 2011 as Artist in Residence at
Fontevraud Abbey in France.
Maria Körkel Born in Heidelberg, Germany in
1973, she studied visual communications at the
Offenbach University of Art and Design as well
as animation filmmaking at La Cambre National
School of Visual Arts in Brussels. In 2011 she
was an Artist in Residence at Fontevraud Abbey
in France.

The first thing you hear is the murmur of the waves. Gradually some
children arrive. They frolic on the beach, dig in the sand, get one
another wet and have fun together. At some point, Nina finds herself
all alone on the shore. She climbs over the cliffs and waves wash away
traces in the sand. The animated impressions are a sensual diffusion
of overlapping shapes and colours.
