ONETWOTHREE PROJECT SPACE GRAND OPENING
Event: Opening Night of onetwothree Project Space in Bremen.

Abstract: Onetwothree Bremen is a project space designed for three purposes: to display local
and international visual art; to provide a community engagement space for artists to collaborate
and develop their practice; and for people in the wider community to engage with local and
international visual artists.
Press Release Follows
Walle, Bremen – The organising team invite members of the press to attend the opening party of
project space onetwothree, which will be held on January 30th, 2016. This event will mark the
launch of the onetwothree project space for independent art. We believe that the goals of
onetwothree are valuable for the Bremen community, and would like your assistance in
showcasing the space and the artists involved, with the intention of helping put onetwothree on
the Bremen cultural map.
About onetwothree
Onetwothree Bremen is a new project space for independent visual art, located in Walle. A
project space is an artist run initiative, designed to give local artists a space in which to develop
their arts practice by displaying their work, collaborating with and meeting other arts workers
both local and international, as well as participating in and providing educational programs, artist
talks and social events. Many events run in these spaces are open to the public, and residents
living around the space are encouraged to participate in activities provided by onetwothree.
Our space is funded by visitor donations and display fees. A true community project,
onetwothree aims to provide the local community of Bremen with engaging programs and
events from a range of artists, both new and established, local and imported.
Onetwothree will hold a weekly exhibition each Friday night, from 7pm – 10pm at our space in
Steffensweg in Walle. From time to time, there will also be special events such as artist talks,
dinners, and other events devised by the organising team and guest curators. All monthly event

About the founder of onetwothree
A. David Holloway is a photographic artist from Australia. He has been living in Bremen for the last
four years, working as an art teacher at the International School of Bremen. His photographic
work has been on display around the world, including his home town of Brisbane, London,
Miami, New York, the Louvre in Paris, and of course in Bremen. Onetwothree is the culmination of
a long-held dream of Holloway’s to providing a community space for artists to display their work
and collaborate together on various projects and programs.

Zusammenfassung: onetwothree Bremen ist ein Projektraum mit drei Zielen: lokale und

innerhalb eines Netzwerks engagieren, zusammen an Projekten arbeiten und ihre künstlerische
Praxis zu entwickeln.

Walle, Bremen – Das Organisationsteam lädt Mitglieder der Presse am 30. Januar 2016 zur
Eröffnungsfeier des Projektraums onetwothree ein. Dieses Event bildet den Auftakt des
onetwothree als Projektraum für unabhängige Kunst in Bremen. Wir sind der festen Überzeugung,
dass die Ziele von onetwothree wertvoll für die Gemeinschaft Kunst- und Kulturschaffender in
Bremen sind und würden uns freuen, wenn Sie uns dabei unterstützen, das Projekt und die
beteiligten Künstler der Öffentlichkeit zu zeigen, damit das onetwothree Bestandteil des kulturellen
Lebens in Bremen werden kann.
Über onetwothree
onetwothree Bremen ist ein neuer Projektraum für unabhängige Kunst in Walle. Ein Projektraum ist
eine von Künstlern organisierte Initiative mit dem Ziel, lokalen Künstlern einen Raum zu geben, ihre
künstlerische Praxis zu entwickeln und ihre Werke auszustellen, mit anderen lokalen und
internationalen Künstlern in Kontakt zu treten und zusammenzuarbeiten sowie an Veranstaltungen,
wie Workshops, Diskussionen, sozialen Events usw. teilzunehmen und diese selbstständig zu
organisieren. Viele der Veranstaltungen und Aktivitäten im onetwothree werden für die
Öffentlichkeit zugänglich sein und Anwohner und Kulturinteressierte sind herzlich eingeladen, an
diesen teilnzunehmen.
Unser Projektraum f inanziert sich durch Spenden der Besucher. Als gemeinnütziges Projekt hat
onetwothree zum Ziel, Kunst- und Kulturschaffenden und -interessierten Bremens vielseitige und
bereichernde Programme und Veranstaltungen anzubeiten, von etablierten wie neuen, lokalen
wie internationalen Künstlern.
Das onetwothree wird wöchentlich, jeden Freitag von 19:00-22:00 Uhr eine neue Ausstellung in
den Räumlichkeiten im Steffensweg 123 in Walle veranstalten. Von Zeit zu Zeit wird es
außerdem spezielle Events geben, wie Künstlervorträge, Diskussionsrunden, Workshops etc., die
vom Organisationsteam und Gastkuratoren veranstaltet werden. Die Details aller monatlichen

Über den Gründer von onetwothree
A.David Holloway ist ein Photograph aus Australien. Er lebt seit 4 Jahren in Bremen und arbeitet
als Kunstleherer an der International School of Bremen. Seine Werke wurden an verschiedenen
Orten der Welt ausgestellt, wie seiner Heimatstadt Brisbane, London, Miami, dem Louvre in Paris
und natürlich in Bremen. Onetwothree ist das Resultat eines lang gehegten Traums von
Holloway, Kunstschaffenden einen Raum zu geben, ihre Werke auszustellen, und in
