retromys
Inför 2016 har vi helt gått igång på läcker retroestetik. Tänk dekadent 20-tal som i filmen
The Great Gatsby eller funkig 60-talselegans à
la James Bond/Dr No. Dessutom uppdaterar vi
lampkonceptet i grunden. Hur ska en lampa se
ut, egentligen? Låt mig nämna några av mina
personliga favoriter bland vårens nyheter.
Omslaget och bilden här till höger visar
Tracy, en ny produkt som är både lampa och
bricka. Jag kommer att sätta Tracy i min mörka
trånga hall. Där får hon lysa upp och möta oss
när vi kommer hem. Nycklar och läppstift lägger jag direkt på brickan så vet jag var de finns.
Snyggt, praktiskt och elegant. Passar även på
fönsterbrädan eller nattygsbordet. Finns i vit
marmor, grön marmor eller mässing. Se sid 5.
Marmorversionerna av Tracy har också en
kusin kallad Alice, som med samma enkla,
självklara formgivning fungerar både som bokstöd och lampa. Det är ett riktigt lyft att få in en
ljuspunkt, eller flera, i våra ofta mörka bokhyllor. Alice är vändbar och kan vänsterställas eller
högerställas efter behov. Se sid 5.
För den kreative bohemen rekommenderar
vi parhästarna Sladdis och Theo. Sladdis är en
textilklädd sladd med lamphållare i ena änden
och väggkontakt i den andra, medan Theo är
ett metallstativ för bord eller golv, i svart eller
mässing. Sedan hänger man helt enkelt en
Sladdis i en Theo och vips har man skapat
en komplett lampa. Möjligheterna till variation
i form av olika lindningar och knutar är förstås
oändliga. Se sid 6.
Slutligen har vi systrarna Barbara, en direkt
inspiration från 60- och 70-talets barmiljöer.
Tänk slipad kristall och nånting on the rocks.
Barbara är handslipade taklampor av munblåst
glas, i två storlekar och två vackra mönster, tillvekade på fri hand av duktiga hantverkare med
lång erfarenhet och kunnande. Välj en halogen
som ljuskälla för klart, krispigt ljus eller guldfärgat glödljus/LED för ett varmare sken.

Innovation and
retro-pleasures
In the run-up to 2016, we have got completely fired up on gorgeous retro-aesthetics. Think
divine decadence, 1920s as in The Great Gatsby, or funky 1960s elegance as in James Bond
and Dr No. We are also updating the whole
lamp concept from the bottom up. What is a
lamp? What should it look like? I have to mention a few of my personal favourites in our new
spring models.
The cover and the picture on the right show
Tracy, a new product that is a lamp and a tray
at the same time. I’m going to put Tracy in my
rather dark, narrow hall. She will light it up and
be there to meet us when we come home.
I’ll keep my keys and lipstick on the tray, so I
know exactly where they are. Stylish, practical
and elegant! She also suits a windowsill or a
bedside table. Available in white, marble, green
marble or brass. See page 5.
The marble versions of Tracy also have a
cousin called Alice, sharing the same minimalistic design but serving as a bookend as well
as a lamp. She really brightens up our dark
bookshelves, especially when there are several
of her. Alice is reversible and can face left or
right, just as you like. See page 5.
For the creative bohemian we recommend
Sladdis and Theo. Sladdis is a textile-covered
cord with a bulb holder at one end and a plug
at the other end, while Theo is a metal stand
who is equally happy on the table or the floor,
and comes in black or brass. All you have to do
is hang Sladdis in Theo and hey presto! you’ve
created a complete lamp. The possibilities and
variations you can get by winding and knotting
the cord are virtually endless. See page 6.
Finally, we have the Barbara sisters, a direct
throwback to 1960s and 70s cocktail bars.
Think decorative crystal glass and something
on the rocks. Barbara is a hand-ground ceiling lamp of blown glass, in two sizes with two
beautiful patterns, made freehand by skilled
craftsmen with long experience and expertise.
Choose a halogen light source for a clear, crisp
light or a golden incandescent bulb or LED for
a warmer glow.

Schon im Vorwege von 2016 ist in uns die Begeisterung für die wunderbare Retro-Ästhetik
entbrannt. Die Dekadenz der 20er, wie in ”The
great Gatsby”, flippige 60er Eleganz im Stil
von ”James Bond jagt Dr. No”. Darüber hinaus
aktualisieren wir unser Lampenkonzept grundlegend. Wie sollte eine Lampe eigentlich aussehen? Lassen Sie mich einige meiner persönlichen Favoriten unter den Frühlingsneuheiten
vorstellen.
Der Katalogeinband und das rechte Bild
zeigen Tracy, ein neues Produkt, welches
Lampe und Tablett in sich vereint. Ich werde
Tracy in meiner schmalen, dunklen Vorhalle
aufstellen. Dort sorgt sie für Stimmungslicht
und empfängt uns, wenn wir nach Hause
kommen. Schlüssel und Lippenstift lege ich
auf das Tablett, dann weiß ich immer, wo ich
sie finde. Hübsch, praktisch, elegant - auch in
der Fensterbank oder auf dem Nachttisch. Erhältlich in weißem oder grünem Marmor, sowie
in Messing (Seite 5)
Die Marmorversionen von Tracy haben auch
eine Cousine namens Alice. In der gleichen
schlichten und pragmatischen Formensprache
dient sie wahlweise als Buchstütze oder Lampe. Sie ist eine echte Bereicherung, die unsere
oftmals düsteren Bücherregale durch einen
oder gleich mehrere Lichtakzente optimal in
Szene setzt. Alice kann sowohl rechtsseitig, als
auch linksseitig verwendet werden. (Seite 5)
Dem kreativen Bohèmen empfehlen wir
das Gespann Sladdis und Theo. Sladdis ist ein
Textilkabel mit Fassung am Einen und Stecker
am anderen Ende. Partner Theo, ein Metallstativ
in schwarz oder Messing, eignet sich gleichermaßen für Tisch oder Boden. So hängt man
Sladdis einfach über Theo und im Handumdrehen hat man eine komplette Lampe kreiert.
Die Variationsmöglichkeiten aus Schlingen und

Our large candles are perfect for

made of genuine paraffin, for that soft,
