The Louise Kerckhoff Guest House is allocated
for international junior scientists at the Max
Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research,
who are visiting Bad Nauheim for a limited time
during conducting their research projects.

William G. Kerckhoff Foundation
for Scientific Research and Education
William G. Kerckhoff Foundation for Scientific Research
and Education. The organisation was founded in 1929
by Louise Kerckhoff, the widow of William G.Kerckhoff,
one of the major science patrons of this age. The Kerckhoff Foundation supports scientific research at the Max
Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research, formerly
the Kerckhoff Institute. The Kerckhoff Foundation is
located in the historic institute building at Parkstr. 1.
The guest house comprises over all eight
apartments, which can be alternatively used as
27 guest rooms. The guest house was opened in
May 2015, after one year construction time.
There is no connection between the Louise Kerckhoff
Guest House and the Kerckhoff Clinic.

Guest house and location
The Louise Kerckhoff Guest House is located in the town center of Bad
Nauheim, close to a large park. The train station and the Max Planck
Institute are within walking distance.
The guest house, which was completed in 2014, was constructed to high
quality standards. It conforms to latest requirements in energy efficiency,
is equipped with noise protection windows, automatic room ventilation
and electric roller shutters.
Guest rooms and apartments
The guest house has 27 fully equipped guest rooms. Alternatively, whole
apartments can be rented. In this case, up to eight units are available.
The guest rooms are complitely furnitured. Bath rooms are for shared
use (one per unit). Kitchens are fully equipped. Most rooms have
balconies.
Service
Service includes a change of linen before moving in. Common areas
(kitchen, bath rooms and corridors) are cleaned on a weekly basis.
During use, rooms will have to be cleaned by the renter.
Facilities
Every room is equipped with WLAN. The laundry is located in the
basement. It is equipped with coin-operated washing machines and
dryers. A roof-deck is for general use. A baker is located in the ground
floor. Parking lots are available upon request.
Expenses
Monthly room rate is depending on room size and is between 280 und
380 Euro (50 Euro surchage for second person). It includes flat rates for
energy, linen change and cleaning. Rental prices for apartments upon
request.
