1. TEILNAHMEBEDINGUNGEN
1. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Der Wettbewerb ist offen für angewandte Animation im Bereich Werbung, Technologie
und Kommunikation im Raum sowie den Mercedes-Benz Sonderpreis „Zukunft braucht
Herkunft – Kommunikation und Vernetzung in einer mobilen Welt“. Die Beiträge müssen
nach dem 01. Oktober 2014 fertiggestellt worden sein. Nur vollendete Filme können
bei der Auswahl berücksichtigt werden. Über Zweifelsfragen entscheidet die AuswahlKommission. Die Filme können auf DVD (Regionalcode 0 oder 2) oder digital eingesandt werden. Die DVDs sind ausreichend zu kennzeichnen (Titel, Regisseur, Länge,
Norm, Angaben zum Ton). Eine Kopie des Anmeldeformulars muss beigelegt werden.

The competition is directed at applied animation in the field of advertising,
technology and spatial communication as well as the Mercedes-Benz special
award “Future Needs Derivation - Communication and Networking in a Mobile
World”. All submitted fi lms must have been completed after October 01, 2014.
Only completed fi lms can be considered for selection. The selection committee
will make the fi nal decision in case of dispute. Films can be submitted on DVD
(regional code 0 or 2) or digitally. The DVDs should be labelled adequately (title,
director, fi lm length, standard, data regarding sound). A copy of the entry form
must be attached. To submit digitally, please contact [email protected].
2. ANMELDUNG/EINSENDUNG ZUR AUSWAHL-KOMMISSION
2. ENTRY / SUBMISSIONS FOR THE PRE-SELECTION COMMITTEE
Das Anmeldeformular muss vollständig ausgefüllt werden. Begleitend müssen folgende
Materialien eingereicht werden: Beschreibung des Films, Stabliste, Biographie und
Filmographie des Regisseurs, Profil der Produktionsfirma oder Agentur, Untertitel (Englisch), Standfotos (300 dpi), Pressematerial und eine Ansichts-DVD oder ein Video File.
The entry form must be filled in completely. The following information must be
included: a description of the film, a list of the film crew, the director’s biography
and filmography, a profile of the production company or agency, subtitles (English), film stills (300 dpi), press material and a preview DVD or video file.

Closing date for the submission of videos for pre-selection: January 15, 2016.
3. GEBÜHREN
3. FEES
Die Gebühr für den ersten Festival-Beitrag beträgt EUR 200,00 oder US $ 250,00.
Jede weitere Einreichung kostet den reduzierten Beitrag von EUR 100,00 oder
US $ 125,00. Stornierungen für angemeldete Beiträge sind nicht möglich. Alle
Gebühren sind sofort mit der Anmeldung fällig. Die Bezahlung erfolgt auf Rechnung.
Die Teilnahmegebühren werden nicht erstattet. Der Rechtsweg ist ausgeschlossen.
The fee for the first film submission to the Festival is EUR 200.00 or US $ 250.00.
Any other films can be submitted at a reduced fee of EUR 100.00 or US $ 125.00
each. Registered films cannot be withdrawn. All fees are payable at time of entry.
Payment is to be made on receipt. Entry fees cannot be refunded. All decisions
are final and not subject to legal appeal.
Die Teilnahme am Mercedes-Benz Sonderpreis „Zukunft braucht Herkunft –
Kommunikation und Vernetzung in einer mobilen Welt“ ist gebührenfrei.
The participation at the Mercedes-Benz special award “Future Needs Derivation –
Communication and Networking in a Mobile World” is free of charge.
Alle Gebühren verstehen sich zuzüglich gesetzlicher MwSt. Die Mehrwertsteuer
muss von allen Teilnehmern entrichtet werden: Das deutsche Finanzamt betrachtet den Animated Com Award als „Dienstleistung“. Der Ort der Dienstleistung ist in
Deutschland und deshalb muss das deutsche Steuerrecht angewendet werden.
Fees given do not include statutory VAT. VAT must be paid by all participants:
The German tax authority considers the Animated Com Award to be a “business
service”. Germany is the place of service and therefore German tax law must be
applied.
4. EINSENDUNG DER FILMKOPIEN ZUM FESTIVAL
4. SUBMISSION OF FILM COPIES TO THE FESTIVAL
Ausgewählte Filme müssen zum Festival als hoch aufgelöste Video Files vorliegen
(MOV oder MP4, 1920 x 1080). Die Vorführkopie muss englische Untertitel haben,
wenn die Sprache eine andere ist.
Selected films must be available to the Festival in high resolution digital files (MOV
or MP4, 1920 x 1080). The film must have English subtitles if it has been produced
in any other language.
Einsendeschluss für die Filmkopien zum Festival: 15. März 2016.
Closing date for submission of film copies to the Festival: March 15, 2016.

5. JURY
5. JURY
Die Jury entscheidet über die Zusammenstellung des Wettbewerbprogramms.
Die Kriterien für die Auswahl legt die Festivalleitung fest. Entscheidend ist ausschließlich die künstlerische und kreative Qualität der Filme. Alle Einsender, die
einen Film für die Vorauswahl eingereicht haben, werden bis spätestens 15. März
2016 über das Ergebnis informiert.
The jury decides on the selected content of the competition programme.
The Festival management shall determine the selection criteria. Selection will
depend solely on the artistic and creative quality of the films. All those who submit
a film for pre-selection, will be informed on the results before March 15, 2016.
6. PREISE

Die Festivalleitung entscheidet über die Zusammensetzung der Jury. Diese entscheidet über die Vergabe der Preise. Keines der Jurymitglieder darf an Produktion
oder Vertrieb eines Films beteiligt sein, den sie zu beurteilen haben.
Festival management is responsible for choosing the members of the jury.
The jury will decide to whom the awards will be presented. None of the jury
members may be involved in the production or distribution of any of the fi lms
they have to judge.

und Technologie.

Alle nichtstudentischen Teilnehmer aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum sind automatisch gebührenfrei für den Spotlight Animated Com Award qualifiziert. Eine
separate Anmeldung über das Spotlight-Anmeldeformular ist nicht notwendig.
All non-student participants from German-speaking countries are automatically
(free of charge) qualified for the Spotlight Animated Com Award. A separate
registration via the Spotlight registration form is not necessary.

7. TRANSPORT UND VERSICHERUNG
Transportkosten (und damit im Zusammenhang stehende Kosten wie Zollgebühren
etc.) gehen zu Lasten des Absenders. Die Kosten für die Rücksendung übernimmt
das Internationale Trickfi lm-Festival Stuttgart. Die Filme (DVDs oder Datenträger)
sind zu schicken an:

Shipping costs (and any related costs such as customs duties etc.) shall be born
by the sender. The Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film will pay for the return of
films. Films (DVDs / Discs / Sticks) should be addressed to:

8. ERKLÄRUNG ZUR FILMAUSWAHL
8. DECLARATION OF FILM SELECTION
Mit der Einreichung verpfl ichtet sich der Einreicher verbindlich, den Film im Falle
der Auswahl zur Verfügung zu stellen. Ein Rückzug des Films ist nicht möglich.
With the submission of the film the submitter covenants bindingly to allocate a film
print in case of selection. A recall is not possible anymore.
9. PREISVERLEIHUNG
9. AWARD CEREMONY
Die Verleihung des Animated Com Award findet am 29. April 2016 im MercedesBenz Museum in Stuttgart statt. Die Teilnahme eines offiziellen Vertreters des
Gewinnerfilms an der Preisverleihung ist Voraussetzung für die Vergabe des
Preises. Reise- und Hotelkosten werden von uns übernommen. Der Gewinner wird
rechtzeitig informiert.
The Animated Com Award Ceremony will take place on April 29, 2016 in the
Mercedes-Benz Museum. The participation of an official representative of the
winning film at the award ceremony is a prerequisite for receiving the award. Hotel
and travel will be covered. The winner will be informed in due time.
Die Verleihung des Spotlight Animated Com Award fi ndet am 30. April 2016 in der
Staatsgalerie Stuttgart statt. Nähere Informationen dazu fi nden Sie unter

10. ANERKENNUNG DES REGLEMENTS

Das Informationsblatt und das Anmeldeformular sind Bestandteil des Reglements.
Die Anmeldung beim 23. Internationalen Trickfi lm-Festival Stuttgart beinhaltet
die Anerkennung dieses Reglements. Die Festivalleitung entscheidet über alle
Zweifelsfragen und Spezialfälle, die von den Bestimmungen dieses Reglements
nicht erfasst werden.
Both the information sheet and the entry form constitute part of the regulations.
Entry to the 23rd Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film presupposes recognition of
these regulations. Any issues or special cases not specified in these regulations
will be decided by the Festival management.
