第176回⽣生材研(IBB)セミナー Advanced Bioceramic for Regenera>ve Medicine and Cancer Treatment Dr. Ahmed El-‐Ghannam President, Interna-onal Society for Ceramics in Medicine Associate Editor Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Associate Professor of Tissue Engineering and Biomaterials Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science, University of North Carolina at CharloEe ⽇日時:2016年年4⽉月12⽇日(⽕火) 16:00-‐17:30 場所:東京医科⻭歯科⼤大学駿河台キャンパス 21号館 3階 第⼀一会議室 Silica-‐calcium-‐phosphate composite (SCPC) is a drug delivery plaOorm that has successfully demonstrated the ability to bind and release several therapeu-cs including an-bio-cs, an-microbial pep-des, an-cancer drugs, and growth factors. Animal studies have shown that SCPC loaded with Cispla-n (Cis) has successfully eradicated liver cancer tumor without the severe side effects associated with systemic drug administra-on. Tumor regression correlated well with the controlled local release kine-cs of Cis from SCPC. The nature of bond between Cis and phosphate and silicate func-onal groups of SCPC controlled binding and release kine-cs. Moreover, when SCPC was synthesized by 3D prin-ng, loaded with or without rhBMP2 and graWed in cri-cal size bone defects in rabbit ulna or in dog mandibular saddle-‐type defects, it enhanced rapid bone regenera-on. Other studies have shown that osteoblast ac-vity and bone regenera-on are dependent on the phase composi-on and porosity of SCPC. お問い合わせ ⽣生体材料料⼯工学研究所 無機⽣生体材料料学分野 ⼭山下仁⼤大 、中村美穂(内線8015)
