Die Geschichte der Firma MARTIN geht auf das Jahr 1925
zurück. Josef Martin hatte mit dem Rückschub-Rost ein neuartiges System zur Verbrennung von ballastreichen Brennstoffen entwickelt und sich selbständig gemacht. Die von ihm in
München gegründete Josef Martin Feuerungsbau GmbH hat
mehr als 350 Roste dieses Typs an Industrie- und Zechenkraftwerke geliefert, zur Energieerzeugung durch die Verbrennung
von asche- und wasserreichen Rückständen aus der Aufbereitung von Kohle.
Die in Jahrzehnten gesammelten Erfahrungen mit diesen
schwierigen Brennstoffen waren eine solide Basis für weitere
unternehmerische Expansion. Ab Ende der 1950er Jahre wurde der MARTIN Rückschub-Rost überwiegend zur thermischen
Behandlung und energetischen Nutzung von kommunalen und
gewerblichen Abfällen eingesetzt.
Die MARTIN GmbH für Umwelt- und Energietechnik ist 1982
aus der Josef Martin Feuerungsbau GmbH hervorgegangen.
MARTIN ist ein mittelständisches Unternehmen in Familienbesitz, mittlerweile in der 4. Generation. In unseren Büros in der
Leopoldstraße arbeiten ca. 200 Mitarbeiter für den Erfolg
unserer Kunden und damit des Unternehmens.
Im Jahre 2002 wurden mit dem Horizontal-Rost und dem
Rückschub-Rost SITY 2000 weitere Rosttechnologien übernommen und in das Vermarktungskonzept integriert. Die bereits starke Position im Bereich der Abfallverbrennung konnte
konsequent ausgebaut und verstärkt werden, MARTIN ist in
dieser Branche eines der weltweit führenden Unternehmen.
Für alle Feuerungen erstellt MARTIN das Detail-Engineering
und lässt diese bei bewährten Fertigungsbetrieben herstellen.
Auch Dampfkessel zählen zu den Kernprodukten des Unternehmens, die entweder nach eigenen Konzeptionen und Auslegungen realisiert oder von kompetenten Kesselfirmen beschafft werden. In der Schweiz und Portugal haben wir
Fertigungskapazitäten für den Kesselservice, besonders
Schweissplattierungen, aufgebaut. Zur online-Reinigung von
Kesselflächen setzen wir vermehrt auf Schockpulse-Generatoren der Firma Explosion Power, die wir Anfang 2016 übernommen haben.
MARTIN's history dates back to the year 1925, when Josef
Martin started his own business after developing the reverseacting grate, an innovative system for combusting fuels rich in
inert material. Founded in Munich, Josef Martin Feuerungsbau
GmbH supplied more than 350 grates of this type to industrial
and mining power plants to generate energy from the
combustion of ash and water-rich residues produced during the
treatment of coal.
The experience gained over the decades with this problematic
fuel laid a firm foundation for company expansion. From the end
of the 1950s, the reverse-acting grate was used primarily for the
thermal treatment of and recovery of energy from municipal and
industrial waste.
In 1982, MARTIN GmbH für Umwelt- und Energietechnik
succeeded Josef Martin Feuerungsbau GmbH. Today,
MARTIN is a medium-sized, fourth-generation, family-owned
business. Around 200 employees work towards the success of
both the company and its customers at MARTIN's office in
Leopoldstrasse, Munich.
In 2002, additional technologies were integrated into MARTIN's
marketing strategy when the horizontal grate and reverseacting grate SITY 2000 were acquired. This step further
strengthened and expanded the company's already robust
position in the field of thermal waste treatment and reinforced
MARTIN's position as one of the world's leading companies in
this sector. MARTIN provides the detail engineering for all
combustion systems, while manufacturing is carried out by
proven, quality-controlled manufacturing companies.
Steam boilers are also among the company's core products and
are designed according to specific needs and requirements or
procured from competent boiler companies. In Switzerland and
Portugal, MARTIN has set up manufacturing facilities for boiler
services, in particular for weld cladding. For online cleaning of
the boiler surfaces, shock pulse generators manufactured by
Explosion Power, a company bought by MARTIN at the start of
2016, are being used with increasing frequency.

MARTIN deckt die gesamte Bandbreite des
Anlagenbaus für Abfallverbrennungsanlagen ab.
Wir werden als Generalunternehmer für die schlüsselfertige Erstellung von Gesamtanlagen tätig, wobei
Gewerke wie Abgasreinigung, thermischer Kreislauf, Eund Leittechnik sowie Bauteil durch erfahrene Lieferanten
unter der Koordination durch MARTIN realisiert werden. Wir
sind Konsortialpartner/-führer für das Gewerk Feuerung/Kessel
oder Engineeringpartner und gegebenenfalls Rostlieferant für
unsere Kooperations- und Lizenzpartner.
MARTIN is active in all areas of plant engineering for waste-toenergy plants. We act as a general contractor for the construction of entire turnkey plants and coordinate lots such as
flue gas cleaning, the thermal circuit, electrical and instrumentation and control systems as well as the civil part that are
provided by experienced suppliers. We also act as a consortium
member or consortium leader for the combustion system/boiler
part, or as an engineering partner and, where required, the
grate supplier for cooperation and licence partners.
Following start-up, an experienced and efficient service team
provides support for all plants built by MARTIN and offers 24hour on-call service if required. We supply spare parts, carry out
maintenance and repair work and act as consultants for
operation and optimization of the plants.
Eine erfahrene und starke Servicemannschaft betreut die von
MARTIN gebauten Anlagen nach deren Inbetriebnahme, wenn
gewünscht mit einem 24-Std.-Bereitschaftsdienst. Wir liefern
Ersatzteile, führen Wartungs- und Instandhaltungsarbeiten
durch und beraten bei Betrieb und Optimierung der Anlagen.
In addition to building new plants, MARTIN is also involved in
modifying, modernizing and optimizing existing plants. We are
responsible for engineering, design, manufacture, installation
and start-up, including the required project management,
interface handling, schedule monitoring and quality control
processes.
MARTIN befasst sich neben dem Neubau von Verbrennungsanlagen auch mit Umbau, Modernisierung und Optimierung
bestehender Anlagen. Dafür liefern wir Engineering, Konstruktion, Fertigung, Montage und Inbetriebsetzung einschließlich
des erforderlichen Projektmanagements, der Bearbeitung von
Schnittstellen sowie der Termin- und Qualitätsüberwachung.
Research and development are an important aspect of
MARTIN's work. The improvement and optimization of existing
components and processes are as important as developing
new processes. This work is done either with our own resources
or in cooperation with partners.
Forschung & Entwicklung ist ein wichtiger Bestandteil unserer
Arbeit. Die Verbesserung und Optimierung bestehender Komponenten und Prozesse stehen dabei genauso im Fokus wie
die Weiter- und Neu-Entwicklung von Verfahren. Diese Arbeiten werden mit eigenen Ressourcen oder in Zusammenarbeit
mit Partnern durchgeführt.
For decades, MARTIN has been involved in close partnerships
with high-profile companies, thereby ensuring the presence of
our technologies in all major markets globally. In this context,
we supply the engineering, combustion systems or
components, while our cooperation partners are responsible for
supplying the entire plant. We have accumulated a wealth of
experience with very different waste qualities and extremely
varied operating circumstances in many countries.
Seit Jahrzehnten sind wir weltweit mit renommierten Unternehmen durch enge Partnerschaften verbunden, die es uns ermöglichen, weltweit auf allen wesentlichen Märkten mit unseren
Technologien präsent zu sein. Im Rahmen dieser Kooperationen liefern wir Engineering, Feuerungssysteme oder Komponenten, während die Partnerfirmen für die Lieferung der
Gesamtanlage verantwortlich sind. Wir verfügen über einen
umfangreichen Erfahrungsschatz mit den unterschiedlichsten
Abfallqualitäten und Rahmenbedingungen in verschiedenen
Ländern.
In 2015, MARTIN significantly extended its product portfolio by
signing a cooperation agreement with Thöni Industriebetriebe
GmbH, based in Telfs, Austria. The agreement allows MARTIN
to use Thöni's dry digestion technology, developed for treating
organic waste. In select countries, MARTIN will supply entire
dry digestion systems including the Thöni digester on an
exclusive basis. The systems produce biogas, compost and
liquid fertilizers, which can then be returned to the substance
cycle. Interesting synergies can be achieved in combination
with waste-to-energy plants. At the same time, dry digestion
systems can of course be built as fully independent facilities.
2015 haben wir unser Produktportfolio wesentlich erweitert. Mit
der Firma Thöni Industriebetriebe GmbH mit Sitz in Telfs,
Österreich, haben wir einen Kooperationsvertrag über die Nutzung der von ihr entwickelten Technologie der Trockenvergärung von biologischen Abfällen geschlossen. In bestimmten
Ländern wird MARTIN exklusiv Gesamtanlagen zur Trockenvergärung mit dem Thöni Fermenter liefern. Biogas, Kompost
und Flüssigdünger sind die Produkte dieser Behandlung und
können in den Kreislauf zurückgeführt werden. In Verbindung
mit Abfallverbrennungsanlagen ergeben sich interessante
Synergien, aber selbstverständlich können diese auch als völlig
eigenständige Anlagen realisiert werden.
