THE PARISH OF ST. ALOYSIUS
Jersey City, NJ
PARISH MISSION STATEMENT
We, the people of St. Aloysius Parish, are united in one faith in Jesus Christ
and His Church. We are proud to be Catholic and express this faith in the
Roman Catholic tradition. As a local church, we encourage the people
already here to welcome those newly arriving to become a unified and
loving family of Christians. We provide for the continuing educational and
formational needs of our youth and adults. In this unity of faith, we desire
to evangelize, to inspire lay leadership and to nurture a sense of ownership
of mission and ministries that incorporate our multi-ethnic traditions.

Dear Friends,
If you did not get the opportunity to make a pledge to our
Sharing God’s Blessing Annual Appeal, pledge envelopes and brochures are found in the vestibule of the
church. We need everyone’s participation and support to
reach our parish goal of $42,086. Your continued support and generosity to the Sharing God’s Blessings Annual Appeal are greatly appreciated.
We are in the process of updating our Parish Website
and other Social Communications. We hope to use these
to inform and educate our parishioners and friends regarding our ministries, programs and events in our parish. We also hope to use these as instruments of Evangelization in our community.
The Chrism Mass for this year will be celebrated at the
Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark at 8:00
pm on Monday, March 30, 2015. We would like to encourage and invite all our parishioners to participate in
this important sacramental life of the local Church in the
Archdiocese of Newark.
The Gospel this weekend reminds us of the richness of
God’s mercy. God so loved the world that He sent us
His only Son not to condemn the world, but to save the
world.
On this fourth Sunday of lent, let us pray that we may
never abuse the mercy, love and forgiveness of God and
that we will be willing to forgive and love one another as
God has forgiven and loved us.
God bless,
Fr. Juancho
Calendars and rice bowls ARE AVAILABLE.
These give us a lot of information about the
people and places in our world that we will
help with our Lenten sacrifices. There are
prayers for each week and even suggestions
for simple meals. We collect the Rice Bowls at
our Holy Thursday Liturgy., April 2 at 7:30pm.
GOD UPHOLDS ME
I take for my sureties: The power of God to guide me, the might
of God to uphold me, the wisdom of God to teach me, the eye of
God to watch over me, the ear of God to hear me, the word of
God to give me speech, the hand of God to protect me, the way
of God to go before me, the shield of God to shelter me.
