Curriculum Vitae
Dr. h. c. Friedrich Oelrich (born in 1957) began his professional career in 1979 with Stadtsparkasse
Munich. In 1986, he moved to Bayerischer Sparkassen- und Giroverband (Bavarian Savings Bank and
Giro Association), where his responsibilities included developing profitability, liquidity and balance sheet
structure policies.
The graduate with a diploma in business administration for savings banks took over as Head of Corporate
Management of Deutsche Genossenschaftsbank Bayern in 1990, where he subsequently assumed the role
of Head of Controlling from 1992 to 1994.
Following a year working at Bankhaus Aufhäuser, he was Head of Marketing and Controlling as well as
Head of the Savings Banks department at Bayerische Landesbank until 2000.
Since 1 January 2001, Dr. h. c. Friedrich Oelrich has been on the Board of Management of DekaBank.
As DekaBank’s Chief Risk Officer (CRO), he is responsible for Risk Controlling and Credit Risk Office.
