1) Introduction of dementia care model in Japan (10:30-12:00)

Ms. Nakanishi will present an outline of public care system on healthcare
services, adult social care services for elderly and people with disabilities
in Japan. She will describe challenges for people with dementia and their
carers throughout the dementia trajectory across multiple types of

services.
日本の保健医療サービス、高齢支援、および障害者支援の公的制度の概要を紹
介する。認知症の人やその家族が疾患過程において多岐に渡るサービスを利用
する際の課題を述べる。
2) International comparison of dementia care model (13:00-14:30)
２）認知症ケアモデルの国際比較（13:00-14:30）
Ms. Nakanishi will show a summary of previous studies regarding
international comparison on national dementia plans. She will figure
characteristics of Japanese dementia care model in comparison with
Western countries.
過去に実施してきた認知症施策の国際比較研究の概要を説明する。欧米諸国と
比べた日本の認知症ケアモデルの特徴を明らかにする。
3) Discussion on dementia care model (14:40-16:00)
３）認知症ケアモデルのあり方に関する討論（14:40-16:00）
Participants will discuss about possible approaches for improvement of
dementia care models and achievement of dementia friendly societies.
認知症ケアモデルの向上や認知症にやさしい社会の実現のために必要なことを
議論する。
