欧州議会国際貿易委員会(INTA)訪日議員団との会合実施
2015 年 11 月 4 日、2015 年内合意を目指して交渉が進められている日 EUFTA に関し、
欧州議会国際貿易委員会(INTA)のランゲ委員長以下訪日議員団 7 名が JEITA を来訪
さて、水嶋会長と面談を行いました。
○ 面談では、水嶋会長より、日 EU の IT エレクトロニクス産業界の共通見解として、日
EUFTA の早期締結を強く訴えました。また、個人情報保護とデータフローの問題を
日 EU 間の最大の懸念事項として指摘しました。
○ ランゲ委員長からは、個人情報の保護とデータフローのバランスが重要としたうえで、
IT 分野において日 EU が緊密に連携しつつ、産業発展を図っていきたいとの見解が述
べられました。

Meeting with the International Trade Committee of the European Parliament
On 4 November 2015, a seven-member delegation from the International Trade Committee of the
European Parliament (INTA) led by Bernd Lange, Chairman of INTA, visited JEITA to discuss the
Japan-EU Free Trade Agreement, currently under negotiation toward agreement by the end of 2015,
with JEITA Chairman Shigeaki Mizushima.
At the meeting, Chairman Mizushima made a strong appeal for an early conclusion to the FTA
negotiations as the common understanding of the Japanese and European IT and electronics industry.
He also identified the protection of personal information and data flows as the biggest concerns
between Japan and the EU.
Chariman Lange highlighted the importance of achieving a balance between protection of personal
information and data flows, and noted that INTA hopes to see close partnership between Japan and
the EU in pursuing industrial development in the IT sector.
