をテーマにしたテレビドラマや映画が数多く制作されています。

夢があり人情あふれる時代と象徴される半面、貧しく不便な暮らし
がまだ残っていた時代でもあります。朱宇正先生に韓国との比較を
交えながら「昭和ノスタルジー」について解説してもらい、後半で
は参加者の皆さんとディスカッションする時間を設けます。

In Japan and South Korea, there is a recent boom of nostalgic
look back on a certain period of the past. For example, the “Showa 30s” is a popular subject
matter in such film as Always: Sunset on Third Street (『ALWAYS 三丁目の夕日』).
By introducing and comparing Japanese and Korean films and television dramas,
this lecture will discuss many topics related to nostalgia and popular culture as below:

What is being missed in recent East Asian popular culture?

Why does a particular period of time become an object of nostalgia?

What was being missed in the past, for example, in the Showa 30s?
