Joint Japan/ World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/ WBGSP)
日本・世界銀行大学院生奨学金
1. Potential Candidates: A few (Masters' Program)
1. 推薦人員:
若干名（修士課程）
2. Selection and Result notification:
Selection result will be determined by evaluation of all the required documents submitted
(First Screening) and interviews by telephone or e-mail (Second Screening).
Application Period February 1 (Mon) - February 10 (Wed), 2016
↓** Application documents must be received by the final day.
Notify the result of First Screening (evaluation of all the required documents submitted)
↓ ** The result of first screening will be announced after March 7 (Mon), 2016 by EMS or
e-mail. Second screening date & time will be notified to applicants who pass the first
screening by GSAPS.
Second screening (interview by telephone or by e-mail in person)
↓ ** Second screening date & time will be assigned between March 9 (Wed) and March 15
(Tue), 2016 by GSAPS.
Notify the result of Second screening & Scholarship By the end of April, 2016
↓** Selection result of the second screening / nomination for JJ/WBGSP to be notified by
the end of April, 2016 from GSAPS to the applicants by EMS or e-mail.
Request the nominated applicants to submit the documents prescribed by Word Bank
↓**Applicants who are nominated for the JJ/ WBGSP Scholarship will then be requested to
complete the prescribed documents from the JJ/ WBGSP Program.
Notify Final Results of the JJ/WBGSP
by mid-July 2016(expected)
** Applicants must complete and submit online application form on the World Bank
website by the deadline of WB. Online application to JJ/WBGSP will be open from
February to mid-March (expected).
** Applicants who are not nominated for the scholarship will be considered for admission
as privately-financed international students during the general admission screening of
September 2016 entrance at GSAPS.
Applicants are required to indicate their intention if they wish to enter GSAPS as
privately-financed international students in the "Scholarship Application Form for JJ/
WBGSP for September 2016 Admissions"(designated form).
2. 選考及び結果通知スケジュール:
第一次選考（書類審査）および第二次選考（電話・E メールなどを利用したインタビュー）によ
り合否判定を行います。

↓２０１６年３月７日(月)以降に、第一次選考結果を発表。 (EMS またはE メールで連絡。) 第
一次選考合格者に対し、第二次選考日程を通知します。
第二次選考（電話・E メールなどを利用したインタビュー）
↓２０１６年３月９日(水)～３月１５日(火) のうち、当研究科が指定する日時で行います。
第二次選考の結果及び奨学金推薦者の結果通知
２０１６年４月下旬
↓２０１６年４月下旬までに、第二次選考結果及び大学から世界銀行への奨学金推薦者を発
表。 (EMS またはE メールで連絡。)
世界銀行奨学金推薦者へ世界銀行所定書類の追加提出依頼
↓世界銀行奨学金に推薦された方については、追加で世界銀行所定の出願用紙の提出が必要とな
ります。
日本・世界銀行大学院生奨学金最終合否通知
２０１６年７月中旬 (予定)
**志願者は、世界銀行のウェブサイトより、世界銀行が定める締切日までに奨学金申し込みをし
なければなりません。オンライン申し込み期間は２０１６年２月～３月中旬頃の見込みです。
**奨学金推薦選考外の者及び奨学金不採用者のうち、私費留学生として当研究科への入学を希望
する場合は、当研究科２０１６年度９月入学の一般入試の審査対象となります。私費留学生とし
て当研究科へ入学を希望する場合は、出願書類の『２０１６年度９月入学：世界銀行奨学金選考
申請用紙』（所定用紙）にその旨記入してください。

4. Screening Fee:
Please note that applicants must submit the Waseda GSAPS designated application documents and pay the
screening fee of 5,000JPY during the prescribed period (January 25 (Mon) - February 10 (Wed) , 2016) by
transfer via overseas banking institutions or by Credit Card, Union Pay or Alipay. For more detailed
information on payment methods, please refer to the GSAPS Application Guide for Admission 2016
(P13).
Note: Applicants who wish to be admitted into GSAPS are eligible to apply for the screening fee waiver if
they reside in one of the countries designated by Waseda University AND hold nationality of one of those
countries. For more details please refer to the GSAPS application guide for admissions of AY 2016.
4. 入学検定料:
出願の際には、早稲田大学大学院アジア太平洋研究科の一般入学選考における出願書類と入学検
定料 5,000 円の支払が必要となります。必ず所定の期間内（２０１６年１月２５日(月)～
２月１０日(水)）に、外国送金、または、クレジットカード・中国オンライン決済で、入学検定
料の支払いを完了してください。支払方法の詳細は、2016 年度アジア太平洋研究科入試要項(P12)
を参照してください。
注意：当研究科への入学を希望する出願者が、早稲田大学が指定する国に居住しかつ国籍を有す
る場合、本人からの申請に応じて入学検定料を免除します。詳細については、当研究科 2016 年
度入学試験要項を参照してください。
5. Announcement of Final Results of the JJ/WBGSP【by mid-July 2016(expected)】:
Applicants who have passed the GSAPS entrance examinations but failed the JJ/WBGSP Selection
will still be considered for entrance as a Privately-Financed International Student. He/ She will be
required to remit the entrance & tuition fees (first semester) during a specified period (TBA).
5. 日本・世界銀行大学院生奨学金最終合否通知【２０１６年７月中旬(予定)】:
アジア太平洋研究科合格者で、
「日本・世界銀行大学院生奨学金」不採用となった者は、指定期
間に入学手続金を納入した上で、私費外国人留学生として入学することができます。

For your reference, Eligibility Criteria for 2015 program is as follows:
Eligibility Criteria for JJ/WBGSP 2015 program
The applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:
• Be a national of a World Bank member country eligible to borrow.
• Not be a dual citizen of any developed country.
• Not be an Executive Director, his/her alternate, staff (including consultant) of the World
Bank Group (the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, International Development
Association, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, and International Center for
Settlement of Investment Disputes), relative or in-law of the aforementioned.
• Holds a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent university degree) earned before 2012.
• Have at least 3 years of development-related experience since earning a Bachelor’s degree
(or equivalent university degree)
• Have, by the notification of the scholarship award, been accepted unconditionally (except
for funding) to enroll in the upcoming academic year in one of the JJ/WBGSP preferred
university masters programs that is listed on the JJ/WBGSP website, that is located outside
of the applicant’s country of citizenship and country of residence.

• Be in good health, as certified by a medical doctor, with respect to the capacity to be a
productive scholar for the duration of the masters program.
