Important Notice
(1) Please strictly observe the date and time of application and placement test.

New and continuing students alike, everyone has to fill out the application form online. After
filling out the application form, new students have to take a placement test. However, for students
applying for “Introductory Japanese Grammar 1”（and “Introductory Japanese Communication 1”）
or “Introductory Kanji & Vocabulary 1” it is not mandatory to take the placement test.
Please make your application as soon as possible as it may take some time to complete the
procedure.
(2) Continuing students must select one of the two options given below.
A) Taking a placement test →
your classes will be decided based on the test scores.
B) Not taking a placement test →
you will be automatically assigned to the next level classes.
In either case, admission is ultimately regulated on the basis of the number of students. Please
understand that you might not be admitted to your desired class.
(3) Please personally take the placement test at a place with internet access.
It is not necessary to come to the International Student Center to take the placement test. You
can take the placement test online from anywhere in the world. You will be informed about exam
procedures via e-mail after making the online application.
(4) If you cannot attend assigned classes, please cancel them online.
If you fail to show up for class three times in a row without contacting the instructor of the class,
you will not be allowed to take the same subject in the next semester/quarter. If you cannot attend
the class, please cancel the class/classes from “Student Page” of the ISC’s website:

（1）请务必遵守网上申请和评估测试的日期和时间。

无论是第一次选课的学生还是接着上学期继续选课的学生，都必须要在网上申请。申请之后，新生
必须要接受评估测试。不过，选择申请「初级文法 1」
（或「初级口语 1」
）或者「初级汉字词汇 1」的
学生不需要接受评估测试考试。
用电脑申请的操作需要花费一定的时间，所以请大家尽快进行申请。
（2）接着上学期继续选课的学生，可从下面几项当中任选其一。
A) 参加评估测试考试，根据成绩被安排到相对应的班级。
B) 不参加评估测试考试，自动进入上一个等级。
无论哪种情况，最终都会根据选择该课程的人数进行调整，所以结果可能会与最初意愿有出入。
（3）关于评估测试，请在网络环境下独自进行。
接受评估测试考试的学生，不需要到留学生中心参加考试，可以在任何有网络环境的地方进行。在
网上申请课程之后，您会收到有关如何进行评估测试的邮件。
（4）若无法按时出席被安排的课程，请在网上取消该课程。
如果没有向任课教师说明原因，而连续缺席 3 次，所选课程即会被认为「擅自取消」
，下一个学期
将无法选择该课程。所以，请务必在下面的网站主动取消不能出席的课程。
