The South is Hot with the Olympics 2016
The World Cup is over, but in just two years' time Brazil will once again hold a big
event and brace herself for large numbers of visitors, sports fans and tourists from
overseas for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics 2016. Though the 2014 FIFA World Cup
has generally been regarded as a success in the face of many doubts inside and
outside Brazil, the country has promised to have the biggest sporting event, which
they call, “the Olympics of the Olympics.”
Pushed Up for the Olympics 2020
After the 2014 FIFA World Cup was over, P.M. Abe hailed Latin America as an
“indispensable partner,” saying, “Latin America has a large presence on the
international stage and is an indispensable partner in my vision of diplomacy.” After
the 2016 Southern event, Japan will have her 2020 Tokyo Olympics which, I believe
will bear lots of economic fruits. Pushed up from the South, Japan will make big
business waves in the next six years. Let’s surf on those big waves!
