The JS Water Recycle Treatment System repeatedly and
automatically treats water using activated carbon, and
reactivates the used carbon on-site without having to
remove it from the modules (replacement of the carbon
modules is not necessary).
Organic wastewater from the food processing industry
goes through column modules packed with activated
carbon, during which organic compounds in the wastewater are absorbed by the activated carbon and filtered out.
By increasing the number of serially-connected multistage
modules, wastewater can be filtered and treated to a quality level comparable with that of tap-water (drinking water).
In the next process, superheated steam (300 to 400° C) is injected
into the activated carbon saturated by wastewater treatment to desorb the absorbed organics on the surface of
the carbon. The desorbed organics are exhausted out of
the system as exhaust gas, and the used carbon is reactivated and brought into a nearly new condition.
The system does not produce any sludge or other industrial wastes. By reactivating the carbon without removing it
from modules, it also eliminates the weight loss of the activated carbon.
Water
The power consumption for treating 1m3 of wastewater is approximately 0.5KW/m3 or lower. The
installation space required by the space-saving
system is less than one tenth of that required by
conventional models.
Number of domestic major businesses that have introduced
the system: Approximately 7 or more companies
(Opened business accounts for major manufacturers)
Number of domestic medium businesses that have introduced
the system: Approximately 10 or more companies
Number of domestic small and medium-sized businesses that
have introduced the system: Approximately 3 companies
Total of approximately 20-plus companies are operating the
system (inquiries on the system are expected to increase in
the future).
Adopted in one of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ official development assistance projects.
Adopted in one of the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National
Corporation projects.
Won the ‘Award of Excellence’ in the 25th Excellent New
Technology/New Product Awards for Small and Medium-sized
Businesses.
(Only 10-plus other companies among the 500 or more applicants won the prize.)
Our company was introduced on Osaka Prefecture’s website.
Textile mills, food factories and other industrial factories
Super public baths, mountain toilets, human waste
disposal systems, etc.
The high-level water recycling system for wastewater treatment eliminates the need for infrastructure
(free of water or sewage charges) and does not
produce any waste.
