Used when asking someone something in a time of need.

●‫ؙ‬Commentary
A. 「Ｖ-てくださいませんか」 is a more polite form of making a request than
Lesson 6-1 「Ｖ-てください」.

このかんじの読みかたがわかりません。
Kono kanji no yomikata ga wakarimasen.
I don't understand how to read this kanji.
●‫ؙ‬Use
Used when asking how to do something when studying a foreign
language.

① じしょのつかいかたがわかりません。
Jisho no tsukaikata ga wakarimasen.
I don't understand how to use a dictionary.
② A：このかんじの書きかたをおしえてくださいませんか。
A: Kono kanji no kakikata o oshiete kudasai masen ka.
A: Could you tell me how to write this kanji?
B：いいですよ。
B: Ii desu yo.
B: Sure.
●‫ؙ‬Commentary
A. V can be made by taking out 「ます」 from 「Vます」 as in
「ষきます → ষき」.
B. 「V-かた」 expresses method/procedure.
