Call for research papers / proposals
The Institute of Management, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa, with the support of the Società
Italiana dei Docenti di Ragioneria e di Economia Aziendale (SIDREA) is pleased to announce their
joint event: SIDREA International Workshop (SIW). The main objective of the SIW is to advise,
provide guidance, and debate on research projects carried out by accounting and business
administration researchers working at all levels of academic positions. Participants of the SIW will
have the opportunity to interact with foreign and Italian faculty members. It is expected that the
SIW will provide a platform for discussion of research proposals, working papers, methods and
methodological issues.
The SIW will take place on July 22, starting at 15:00, on the theme “Contemporary Issues in
Management Accounting Research”. It will occur with the participation of Prof. Lennart
Nørreklit (University of Aalborg- DK, Prof. Hanne Nørreklit (University of Aarhus- DK), Prof.
Deryl Northcott (Auckland University- NZ), Prof. Petri Suomala (Tampere University of
Technology- FI), Prof. Falconer Mitchell (University of Edinburgh- UK) and Prof. Lino Cinquini
(Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa- IT).
Faculty members, post-doctoral researchers, and Ph.D. students are invited to submit their working
papers and research proposals to be considered for presentation. Five papers/proposals will be
presented and discussed, in conjunction with other research proposals by international PhD students
participating to the concurrent “Summer School on Methodologies for making Management
Accounting research relevant to practice” organized by the Institute of Management of the
Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa and the Aarhus School of Business (DK). Given the number
of the invited academics, the organization of parallel roundtables according with the number of total
participants will be possible.
Please send your research proposal or working paper (pdf file) to Prof. Lino Cinquini, Scuola
Superiore Sant’Anna ([email protected]) by May 31, 2014. Acceptance will be communicated
within June 15, 2014.
The SIW “Contemporary Issues in Management Accounting Research” attendance is free of charge,
however, due to limited seats available, registration is required no later than June 30, 2014, via email to [email protected].
