GENERAL INFORMATION
The Department of Pathology of La Spezia Hospital will hold a three
day course focusing on Diagnostic Challenges in Fine Needle
Aspiration and Exfoliative Cytology.
Learning Objectives
This course is designed for surgical pathologists with interest in cytology and currently
performing FNA, cytopathologists, cytopathology fellows and pathologists-in-training to
improve their interpretation skills.
At the conclusion of this activity, they will be able to:
Learn about the common challenges and diagnostic discrepancies encountered in the
field of Fine Needle Aspiration and Exfoliative Cytology.
Recognize the causes of pitfalls in Cytopathology practise, and how to best avoid them.
