L’argento è un materiale facile da trattare e da mantenere: più lo si usa, più diventa bello e vissuto. La posateria - esclusi i pezzi composti anche da altri materiali tipo corno o altro - va usata tutti i giorni, senza che ci si debba preoccupare di strisciarla, e va lavata in lavastoviglie con detersivi poco aggressivi. Per esaltare la bellezza dell’argento è sufficiente asciugare bene gli oggetti con un panno morbido dopo il lavaggio. Consigli preziosi: quando l’argento viene a contatto con sale, limone e parmigiano oppure aceto, deve essere pulito con acqua corrente ed asciugato completamente. Candelieri e candelabri non vanno puliti con il liquido, a causa delle molte saldature e cavità interne. Meglio il panno. L’uso quotidiano fa bene all’argento perché ne rallenta l’ossidazione.
