L’installazione in NAND è abbastanza veloce; con USB da dietro il tempo di flash è nella media:
servono 4’ 02” per il flash (un po’ più lenta dell’HDMU anche perché il file è più grande); poi altri
1'16” per il reboot fino alla comparsa dell'immagine PKT; per finire servono altri 45” accompagnati
in VFD dalla percentuale di completamento.
Segue la classica configurazione guidata di enigma2 che un utente medio esegue in un paio di
minuti.
In un totale di otto minuti abbondanti si riesce a flashare in NAND via usb.
A regime, l'avvio da spento impiega circa 1'20” per avere audio e video ed esser pronto a ricevere
comandi.
La skin di default è semplice, scarna ma funzionale. Mi piace. Classica la composizione del menù
con il PKT BluePanel in prima posizione.
I tasti freccia del telecomando aprono la gestione dei services, con miniTV a sinistra, programma
corrente sui canali ed info del canale in focus.

Punto a favore per il crossepg 0.6.2 già preinstallato e funzionante su python 2.7 anche per
quanto riguarda gli alias. Quindi epg settimanale garantito da server Rytec e/o OpenTV, arricchito
anche dal Multi EPG grafico richiamabile dal tasto epg del telecomando.
BluePanel ormai classico da diverse versioni con menù ad icone. In evidenza “Actualizations” per
scaricare gli aggiornamenti online, la “Skin Setup” molto completa, il “Mount Center” da impostare
per vedere gli HDD usb.
Il player è molto scarno, forse troppo. I tasti sappiamo quali servono, ma qualche iconcina in più
secondo me non ci starebbe male.

I plugin installabili vengono scaricati da un server dedicato, aggiornato dal PKTeam e sono
suddivisi per categorie. Numerosi e per tutti i gusti. Manca il nostro amato iSettingE2, che va
eventualmente installato manualmente.
Tasti telecomando:
blu → blue panel
giallo → impostazione suono
verde → impostazione video
rosso → plugin
epg → multi epg grafico
info → info service attivo
2 x info veloce → maggiori info service attivo
2 x info lento → epg service attivo
rec → registrazione on fly
pause → timeshift
vFormat → impostazione schermo in loop
find → info per gli smanettoni (carino)
La web interface utilizzata è la OpenWebif; molte le funzioni anche di settaggio decoder eseguibili
da remoto; ricerca epg e impostazione timers veloce ed immediata. Stream tramite VLC via wifi
fluido e impeccabile in SD, con fatica e a scatti in HD. Manca un service setting maker nella webif.
In definitiva una buona immagine, veloce e scattante nel cambio canali (un po' meno sul dvb-t),
con aggiornamenti online frequenti ma senza necessità di riflashare. Soffre ancora di diversi bug e
schermate verdi troppo frequenti per i miei gusti: migliorabile, ma non male nel complesso.
