FRANCESCO IORIO
General Manager and Member of the Management Board
Francesco Iorio was awarded a degree in Law with specialisation in banking economics from the
Università “La Sapienza” in Rome. He has held positions in major banks and insurance companies and
has also acquired important experience in consultancy firms (Accenture, Bain). From 2002 until 2003
he was Deputy General Manager and Chief of the Commercial Department of the Banca Popolare
Commercio e Industria Group.
When the BPU Banca Group was formed in 2003, he became Deputy General Manager of BPU Banca,
filling the positions of Chief of the Group Commercial Area and of Group Credit Policies until 2007.
He was Deputy General Manager of UBI Banca S.c.p.A. and Chief of the Commercial Macro Area
from 2007 until 2009. He was Joint General Manager and subsequently General Manager of Banca
Popolare Commercio e Industria from 2009 until 2012.
He is currently a member of the Board of UBI Sistemi e Servizi S.Cons.p.A.
He has been General Manager of UBI Banca since May 2012.
He has been a Member of the Management Board of UBI Banca since April 2013.
