AIMS
To learn the principles of a systematic approach to the cytologic examination of normal and pathologic bone marrow, including neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases, with intensive microscope training on clinical cases. The course will start with a description of collection
techniques and normal bone marrow findings. Afterwards, other talks will be focused on hypocellular and hypercellular bone marrow modification, including myelodysplasia and leukemia.
Each talk will be followed by practical training on the microscope using bone marrow smears.
