2002-present Associate Professor in Geochemistry
Component of the Dept of Sciences. Over the years responsible for laboratories such as the
Laboratory of X-Ray Diffractometry and the Laboratory of Geochemistry at the Department of
Geological Sciences. It was representative of the same Department at the Interdepartmental Center
for Electron Microscopy. He was component of the Commission for the Evaluation of Research of the
Department of Chemistry. In the four years 2006-2010 he served as component of the
Administration Board of the University of Basilicata as the representative of the Faculty of Science.
RELEVANT RESEARCH PROJECTS
- 1994-1996 Co-ordinator of the Potenza Unit of the national project "Composition and evolution of
the continental crust: the crystalline basement in Italy".
- 1997-1998 Co-ordinator of the Potenza Unit of the national project "Modelization of the
petrographic and geochemical composition of the continental crust in selected italian areas"
- 1998-2001 Co-ordinator for the geochemistry of the "Agrifluid" Project (POP-FERS)
- 2001-2003 Co-ordinator of the Potenza Unit of the national project "Age and features of Verrucano
type deposits from northern Apennines to Betic Cordilleras: constraints for the paleogeographic and
structural evolution of the Alpin Chains of the western Mediterranean area.
- 2003-2005 Co-ordinator of the UE supported project "Geochemical survey of waters, soils, rocks
and vegetation in the Fiumara di Atella area”.
- 2006-2008 Co-ordinator of the Potenza Unit of the national project "Chemio- and
minerostratigraphy of cenozoic siliciclastic sediments of the Tetide southern realm: paleoweathering
and parental affinity".
