Gentili Genitori,
apriamo questa Newsletter con il riscontro delle prove
esterne svolte dai nostri alunni. I risultati degli esami
Cambridge PET e FCE sono stati davvero positivi! Per
prenderne visione, basta utilizzare il codice fornitoVi con
l’Exam Entry Form: se non doveste riuscirvi, potrete
contattare la scuola dopo la pausa estiva.
Anche gli Esami Conclusivi del Primo Ciclo di istruzione, per i
quali ci siamo appoggiati all’Istituto comprensivo Francesco
Morosini di Venezia, hanno avuto esiti soddisfacenti.

Desideriamo augurare ai nostri alunni uscenti un buon
proseguimento negli studi e ringraziare i docenti che li hanno
preparati nel corso del triennio al fine, anche, di superare
questa prova.
Chiusura estiva della scuola: la scuola rimarrà chiusa dal 6
agosto al 20 agosto compresi.
Nel frattempo, abbiamo il piacere di presentarVi le attività
che partiranno con il nuovo anno scolastico:
Drama Club
Con piacere ed entusiasmo Vi proponiamo l’attivazione del
Drama Club, che sarà condotto dall’insegnante Anya Vinci,
giovane attrice britannica, con le seguenti modalità:
Scuola dell’ Infanzia
Lunedì dalle 16.00 alle 17.00
Scuola Primaria
Martedi dalle 16.15 – 18.00
Siamo lieti di informarVi, inoltre, che proseguirà anche per il
prossimo anno la collaborazione con l’associazione “Tana
delle Tigri” e con la Polisportiva Bissuola per i seguenti corsi:
Vi comunichiamo inoltre che per gli alunni di terza, quarta e
quinta della Scuola Primaria e Secondaria di Primo Grado
sono state inserite lezioni di Drama in orario scolastico.
MATHEMATICS!
Per l’anno scolastico 2014/2015 gli alunni di Scuola
Secondaria di Primo Grado avranno la possibilità di
frequentare delle sessioni di matematica in lingua inglese,
che li guideranno all’acquisizione di lessico e metodologie
specifiche di base della materia. Il corso, tenuto dalla prof.ssa
Hume sarà articolato in 3 cicli da 9 ore ciascuno e si terrà il
giovedì pomeriggio in orario pomeridiano extra-scolastico
(16:00-17.30) nelle seguenti date:
I CORSO: 02 / 10/ 2014 – 06 / 11 / 2014
II CORSO : 13/ 11/ 2014 – 18 /12 / 2014
III CORSO : 05 / 03 / 2015 – 16 / 04 / 2015
CERTIFICAZIONE DI LINGUA SPAGNOLA DELE
Riproponiamo per l’anno scolastico 2014/2015 agli alunni di
Scuola Secondaria di Primo Grado la possibilità di prepararsi
al conseguimento delle certificazioni di lingua spagnola DELE
A1 e/o DELE A2. Il corso, tenuto dal prof. Tiengo, si terrà il
giovedì pomeriggio in orario pomeridiano extra-scolastico
(16:00-18:00) da ottobre a maggio.
CORSO PROPEDEUTICO DI LATINO
International School offre anche quest’anno agli alunni di
Scuola Secondaria l’opportunità di frequentare un corso
propedeutico di latino, che agevoli poi il passaggio dalla
scuola secondaria inferiore a quella superiore. Il corso è
aperto a tutti gli alunni di classe II e III.
Gli studenti della Scuola Secondaria potranno inoltre
nuovamente contare, se desiderano un supporto nello
svolgimento dei compiti, sugli After School Homework
Groups: si terranno tra le 16.00 e le 18.00, nei pomeriggi di
martedì e venerdì.
Psicomotricità relazionale: rivolta agli alunni della Scuola
dell’Infanzia per indurre uno sviluppo armonico della
personalità e per facilitare la socializzazione sia con i
coetanei che con gli adulti.
Attività motoria: per gli alunni dalla 3^ alla 5^ Primaria sono
previste lezioni di judo, tenute dagli istruttori della “Tana
delle Tigri” che si svolgeranno da settembre a giugno negli
spazi della scuola. Sarà un momento di crescita non solo
fisica ma anche intellettuale, attraverso l’acquisizione di
diverse tecniche di questa disciplina che consentiranno poi
agli alunni di sostenere gli esami del primo grado della scala
“kyu” del Judo.
Gli alunni di classe 3^ si avvicineranno ad una nuova
esperienza, mentre quelli di 4^ e 5^ porteranno avanti il
percorso iniziato negli anni scorsi.
Anche la Scuola Secondaria continuerà ad essere coinvolta in
questo progetto da autunno inoltrato sino alla primavera ma,
durante i mesi di settembre/ottobre e aprile/maggio
integrerà con lezioni di calcetto a cinque e basket impartite
dagli istruttori della Polisportiva.

Dear Parents,
We would like to inform you that the results for Cambridge
PET and FCE exams have been published. Overall, all our
students achieved very positive results. Please use the code
included in the Exam Entry Form to check them. If you are
not able to access the result, you may contact the school
after the summer break.
Our Middle School students, who sit the ‘Licenza Media’
Exam at the state school l’Istituto comprensivo Francesco
Morosini di Venezia, also had overall good votes
We are also pleased to inform you of our continued
collaboration for the new academic year with the ‘Tana delle
Tigri e ‘Polisportiva Bissuola’ for the following:
This year the children in Primary Classes 3, 4, 5 and The
Middle School will have drama lesson during the school day.
MATHEMATICS!
The Middle School children will be able to attend
Mathematics lessons in English, helping them acquire
vocabulary and method relevant to the subject. Prof. Hume
will hold the lessons organized on Thursday afternoons from
16.00 – 17.30, as follows:

SPANISH LANGUAGE CERTIFICATES
We would like to congratulate our students and wish them
well for their future at High School. A special thanks also
goes to our Middle School staff who guided our students
during the last three years to reach these satisfying results.
Summer closure: The school will be closed for the summer
break from 6th August to 20th August.
We would like to inform you about the courses we propose
for the new academic year 2014/15.
Drama Club
Given the success obtained by the Drama Club in
previous years, we would like to propose the following:
Early Years
Monday from 16.00 – 17.00
Primary School
Tuesday from 16.15 – 18.00
The Middle School children will have the possibility to study
for the Spanish Language certificates DELE A1 e/o DELE A2.
The course will be held on Thursday afternoons from 16.0018.00 beginning in October and concluding in May. The
course will be run by Prof.Tiengo.
LATIN
We are also offering for our Middle School children and
introductory course of Latin, which will help ease the move
to High School This will be open to al children in Middle 2
and 3.
After School Homework Groups will also take place on
Tuesday and Friday afternoon between 16:00 and 18:00 for
our Middle School students.
‘Psicomotricità Relazionale’- Early Years: aimed at
developing the child’s personality in a well-balanced way and
at enhancing the pupils’ process of socialization with both
peers and adults.
Physical Education: We would like to inform you that during
the next a. y. 2014/2015 our pupils from year 3
– Year 5 of the Primary School to will attend judo lessons,
which will take place in the school premises. The project is
meant to foster P.E. as a primary source of growth, not only
from a physical, but also from an intellectual point of view.
From September to June, our pupils will undergo a learning
path of Judo techniques that will allow them to sit a final
exam on the “kyu” scale. Children will continue the excellent
work begun last year and our Year 3 children will begin a new
and exciting activity.
Our Middle School students will also continue with
Judo during the late Autumn and into Spring However
during September / October and April / May they will
be involved in Futsal and Basket lessons to be held on
the premises by instructors from the Polisportiva Bissuola.
