Roby FACCHINETTI
Nato a Bergamo. Cresciuto in un ambiente familiare
legato alla musica (il nonno era compositore e
direttore di un coro polifonico), a sei anni inizia a
studiare la fisarmonica e a dieci anni si dedica al
pianoforte. All'età di 11 anni inizia a comporre i primi
brani e quest'attitudine lo porterà a far parte di
numerosi complessi musicali della prima metà degli
anni Sessanta.
Al 1966, a Bologna, risale il suo ingresso nella prima
formazione ufficiale dei Pooh, con i quali firmerà
alcuni dei più grandi successi discografici italiani
come “Piccola Katy” (1968), “Tanta voglia di lei” e
“Pensiero” (1971), “Noi due nel mondo e nell’anima”
(1972), “Dammi solo un minuto” (1977), Notti a
sorpresa (1981), Chi fermerà la musica (1981), La
donna del mio amico (1996) . Come solista pubblica
due dischi, “Robi Facchinetti” del 1984, e “Fai col
cuore” (1994).
Oltre ai numerosi concerti, i Pooh scrivono musiche per fiction e trasmissioni tv. Nel 1986
Facchinetti e soci vengono nominati Cavalieri della Repubblica. Nel 1990 partecipano per
la prima volta al Festival di Sanremo e lo vincono con il brano “Uomini soli”, brano firmato
dallo stesso Robi Facchinetti. Hanno suonato anche per Papa Giovanni Paolo II nella sala
Nervi del Vaticano. Nel 2003 scrivono le musiche e producono il musical “Pinocchio”. Nel
2006 i Pooh raggiungono il traguardo dei 40 anni di carriera assieme, rappresentando nel
panorama internazionale un rarissimo caso di longevità.
Roby Facchinetti was born in Bergamo (Italy) in a family very close to music: his grandfather was a composer and a choirmaster; when he was six he began studying accordion
and piano at ten. He composed his first works at eleven years of age and following his
talent he worked in many music groups of the early sixties.
In 1966 in Bologna he joined the first official group of the Pooh, and he was the author of
some of the greatest Italian hits as “Piccola Katy” (1968), “Tanta voglia di lei” and
“Pensiero” (1971), “Noi due nel mondo e nell’anima” (1972), “Dammi solo un minuto”
(1977), “Notti a sorpresa” (1981), “Chi fermerà la musica” (1981), “La donna del mio
amico” (1996) . As soloist he published two records, “Robi Facchinetti” (1984), and “Fai col
cuore” (1994). Besides the great number of concerts, the Pooh are the authors of music
for television fictions and programmes. In 1986 Facchinetti and the members of his
musical group were appointed “Cavalieri della Repubblica” (Knights of the Republic). In
1990 for the first time the Pooh participated in Music Sanremo Festival and won with
“Uomini soli” whose author was Roby Facchinetti. They also performed before Pope John
Paul II in the Nervi Hall at the Vatican. In 2003 they composed the music for the musical
“Pinocchio”, which they produced. In 2006 the Pooh achieved the goal of 40 years
performing together, a very rare case in the whole international show business.
