meeting and Taikai event,
To promote the spirit of goodwill and friendship and mutual understanding of all nations
through the traditional Budo event,
To afford the opportunity of cultural exchanges amongst the all participants to deepen
mutual friendship and goodwill,
To provide the traditional Budo Seminar in the specific disciplines for all adult members
for furthering their understanding and skills in each domain field,
To afford all participants the Commemorative Hatakeyama Sensei TAIKAI.

General schedule and information
Budo Seminar – from August 20, Wednesday to August 24, Sunday:
1. Budo seminar in the advanced/beginning training will be offered in Tenshin Shoden
Katori Shinto Ryu (KSR) and Hoki Ryu (HR).
Prospective Leaders in the Seminar :
• Morstabilini Sergio 7th Dan Menkyo-Okuden, Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu;
• Barbanzellu Fabio 6th Dan Menkyo-Chuden, Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu
and Dai Nippon Butokukai Renshi 6th Dan Hoki Ryu Iaido.
2. Menkyo and/or dojo-cho holders may be requested to serve as leading instructor where
it is applicable and appropriate.
3. Participants must remit the registration form in advance and indicate which discipline
they wish to partake.
Official Meeting - August 21, Thursday afternoon:
Private meeting for Dojo leaders and Menkyo holders
Commemorative Hatakeyama sensei TAIKAI - August 22, Friday afternoon:
1. Each national team and or dojo team will have 10 min in duration for their Budo
demonstration (location will be communicate later).
2. Each national team will focus on the substantive Budo demonstration criteria:
spirit, strength, focus, concentration, speed, accuracy, balance, beauty, unity, zanshin.
Social Dinner - August 23, Saturday evening:
(location and menu 1 will be communicate later).
Examination - August 24, Sunday morning:
Each selected candidates will focus on the substantive Budo criteria: spirit, strength, focus,
concentration, speed, accuracy, balance, beauty, unity, zanshin.

Basic Protocol and Policy Guideline
1. Eligibility:
• All participants must be a valid member in good standing in their own
association 2013-2014.
• Youth participants must be 15 and under on August 5, 2013. Registration form
for Budo Seminar needs to be signed by parent or guardian.
• Must have an appropriate health and travel insurance.
2. VISA Requirement:
• If you need a VISA to enter in Italy, you need to request this necessary service
as soon as possible, so this can be processed in the timely manner.
3. Insurance:
• It is required all participants must have a valid health insurance and ID card.
4. Attire, Participation protocol and Policy
• All participants must adhere to the principle of traditional Budo format.
• Dogi is required for Budo Seminar.
• Dogi is required for TAIKAI event and Commemorative Hatakeyama sensei
ceremony.
• Casual wear is required for Official Social Dinner.
5. Registration Deadline: April 30, 2014
• Registration form needs to be submitted on time.
Late registration after April 30 is subject to the extra fees and surcharges of 20% of the required
fees.
