BRACHETTO D’ACQUI Wine description Brachetto d'Acqui D.O.C.G., Area of origin: Castel Rocchero, Piemonte (414 meters a.s.l.). Variety: Brachetto d’Acqui 100%. Vineyard Counter shoulder planting system (Guyot), south, south-west exposure. Age of the vineyard: 23 years (1992). Harvest First ten days of September, hand-picked, with baskets. Winemaking Destemming, light and brief maceration with skin (1-2 days), fermentation under controlled temperature until 5° are reached. Organoleptic features Colour: ruby red with lighter shades; Scent: intense rose aroma, light strawberry and moss scent; Flavour: sweet, balanced, fresh, with a long lasting aftertaste. Pairings Fresh fruit (strawberries, peaches), dry fruit (almonds, hazelnuts, waldnuts, figs), fruit salad, jam tart, sweets with creams, semifreddo. Serving temperature 8/10°.
