“Valcuvia in Cornice” Contest Promoter
1. 'Pro Loco Cuvio Association’, ‘Comune di Cuvio' and Milan
and Varese 'Famiglia Artistica Silenziosa ENS', with patronage
of ‘Prefettura di Varese e Milano‘, ‘Lombardy Region’,
'Comunità Montana Valli del Verbano‘, organize an
International Painting Contests for deaf artists.
2. The Contests pursues following aims:
a. offering a meeting opportunity for developing friendship
and solidarity based on intercultural and artistic exchanges;
b. improve painting art of artists with deaf handicap,
encouraging them with appropriate awards;
c. spread out Valcuvia artistic and scenery beauty to all
participants coming from different countries.
3. In order to participate to the Contest the artist has to:
a. Pay a Registration Fee of € 40,00 (see form)
b. Send by mail or e-mail ([email protected]), the
attached form within May 24th 2015, to 'Famiglia Artistica
Silenziosa ENS, via Boscovich 38, 20124 Milan – Italy’.
c. Attach photo of him/herself and his/her artwork (see form).
4. Contest rules:
a. Each artist shall send a painting executed by himself on
theme “Cuvio & Valcuvia” to Milan deaf center (ENS Milano
- Famiglia Artistica Silenziosa, via Boscovich 38, 20124 Milan
- Italy), within 18:00 o’clock on May Sunday 24th, 2015 or
take it directly to exhibition in Cuvio, Italy, within June,
Friday 19th, 2015.
b. All paintings techniques, figurative or not, are admitted,
but rigorously referring to Valcuvia landscape (see
www.cuvio.com – photo gallery).
c. Painting has to be framed by suitable and stable frame
without glass and packaged suitably for transportation.
Maximum dimensions are 70 x 80 cm by side or 300 cm by
perimeter.
d. On the back of the painting there should be printed title of
the painting, artist name, age, country and date.
5. A specific jury will be formed by expert artists and critics of
proven trust. The jury will proceed autonomously defining a
merit classification: no appeal is admitted. Prize and awards
will be assigned on June Sunday 21st, 2015, around 17:00.
6. Each rewarded painting will be kept by each prize sponsor.
7. Organization will take maximum care of received paintings.
Paintings are covered by insurance for any damage only
during the event. While the organization has no responsibility
for any damage during transportation to and from event site.
8. Participating to this event it corresponds to accepting
completely this regulation.
