Configureren Microsoft VPN in

1. De handleiding gaat ervan uit dat u een werkende verbinding heeft met het Internet.
2. Data encryptie is niet mogelijk. Let op: bij Windows XP, Vista en 7 staat standaard
‘Require data encryption’ aan!
3. Om gebruik te maken van Microsoft VPN is het noodzakelijk dat u beschikt over een
NT Domain userid/password.
Aanmaken van een VPN-connectie:
1. Klik op ‘Start’ en selecteer ‘Control Panel’.
2. Klik op ‘Network and Sharing Center’.
3. Klik op ‘Set up a new connection or network’.
4. Klik op ‘Connection to a workplace’ en vervolgens op ‘Next’.
5. Klik op ‘Use my Internet connection (VPN)’.

Vul bij ‘Internet address’ in: vpn.tue.nl.
Vul bij ‘Destination name’ in: VPN TUe.
Vink aan ‘Don't connect now’.
Klik op ‘Next’.
10. Klik op ‘Create’.

11. Klik op ‘Close’.
12. Klik op ‘Connect to a network’ in het ‘Network and Sharing Center’. Als het ‘Netwerk
and Sharing Center’ niet meer openstaat, herhaal dan de eerste 2 punten uit deze
handleiding.

13. Klik op de VPN connection ‘VPN TUe’.
14. Klik op ‘Connect’.
15. Klik op ‘Properties’.

16. Klik op de tab ‘Security’.
17. Zet ‘Type of VPN’ op Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP).
18. Zet ‘Data encryption’ op 'No encryption allowed'.
19. Klik op ‘OK’.
20. Vul ‘User name’ en ‘Password’ in en klik op ‘OK’.
