Het beroep ggz-agoog is in 2012 door branche-organisatie ggz-Nederland in
een duidelijk profiel neergezet. In aansluiting daarop is in opdracht van de
Vereniging van Hogescholen een onderwijsarrangement ontwikkeld voor dit
beroep en wordt geïmplementeerd door de hogescholen die opleiden voor

Patiënten lopen nog steeds vermijdbare schade op. Toch weten we heel goed

Het onder water lopen van het Bossche Broek in 1995 was voor de auteurs
van dit boek aanleiding zich te verdiepen in de vraag hoe in het verleden met
wateroverlast in Noord-Brabant is omgegaan. Het ging in de eerste plaats om
de onderbelichte problematiek van het water dat soms tot in het late voorjaar
achter bleef in de Maaspolders ten oosten van de Dieze. Hoge waterstanden
van de Maas verhinderden de afvoer van dit restwater, met als gevolg dat
de boeren hun land niet tijdig konden gebruiken. De stad 's-Hertogenbosch
en de directe omgeving had eveneens te lijden van hoog water, dat vooral
door de riviertjes de Dommel en de Aa werd aangevoerd. Ook hier was de
Maas de veroorzaker van het hoge water. Als alternatief voor deze rivier
werd gedacht aan een afwateringskanaal. Met name in de negentiende eeuw
kwam het ene na het andere kanaalontwerp ter tafel. Zowel de plannen
voor een kanaal als die voor de watervrijmaking van 's-Hertogenbosch zijn
uitvoerig beschreven in het boek Vier eeuwen wateroverlast langs de Maas.
Het waterbeheer van de Maaspolders en de stad 's-Hertogenbosch. Het zijn
niet alleen de waterstaatkundige aspecten die in deze publicatie aan de
orde komen. Ook maatschappelijke, financiële, politieke en militaire factoren

In Prehistoric Future, Ralph Ubl approaches Ernst like no one else has, using
theories of the unconscious-surrealist automatism, Freudian psychoanalysis,
the concept of history as trauma-to examine how Ernst's construction of
collage departs from other modern artists. Ubl shows that while Picasso,
Braque, and Man Ray used scissors and glue to create collages, Ernst
employed techniques he himself had forged-rubbing and scraping to bring
images forth onto a sheet of paper or canvas to simulate how a screen image
or memory comes into the mind's view. In addition, Ernst scoured the past
for obsolete scientific illustrations and odd advertisements to illustrate the
rapidity with which time passes and to simulate the apprehension generated
when rapid flows of knowledge turn living culture into artifact. Ultimately, Ubl

She was not the 'black sheep' of her family, as often claimed, but a heroic
rebel. Friedelind Wagner (1918-1991), Richard Wagner's independent-minded
granddaughter, daughter of Siegfried and Winifred Wagner, despised her
mother's close liaison with Adolf Hitler and was the only member of the
Wagner clan who fled Germany in protest. Although Winifred warned her that
the Nazis would 'exterminate' her, should she continue her open opposition,
she travelled to London and published articles pillorying the Nazi élite. All the
same, her former proximity to Hitler & Co. made her suspicious in the eyes
of the authorities, who promptly interned her. Even the British Parliament
debated her fate. Only with the help of the world-famous conductor Arturo
Toscanini was she able to gain an exit visa. Once she arrived in New York she
broadcast, lectured and published against the Nazis, wrote an autobiography,
and became friends with many other emigrants including singers who had
themselves abandoned Bayreuth. After the war the Mayor of Bayreuth
asked her to run the Festival, but she declined in favour of her brothers.
They showed little gratitude, however, for after Friedelind returned to
Germany in 1953 she found herself manoeuvred out of any role in the Festival

Onder de gloednieuwe woonwijk Roomburg sluimeren de resten van wat
ooit een bloeiende Romeinse nederzetting was. Enkele tientallen jaren na
het begin van onze jaartelling bouwden de Romeinen er een castellum, een
permanente militaire basis die de functie van verdedigingsfort, kazerne
en bestuurlijk centrum in zich verenigde. Rondom het fort, Matilo geheten,
vormde zich een nederzetting die de militairen voorzag van alles wat zij nodig
hadden voor hun werk, persoonlijke verzorging en vermaak. Aan de hand
van talrijke voorwerpen die bij opgravingen te voorschijn kwamen - kleding,
schoeisel, wapenrustingen, sieraden, aardewerk - konden onderzoekers zich
een steeds beter beeld vormen van het leven in die tijd. De geschiedenis
van Roomburg hield echter niet op na de Romeinse tijd: ook van de eeuwen
daarna zijn sporen van bewoning, handel en infrastructuur gevonden.

Zes leden van het Groningse gezin Fockens trokken in de tweede helft van
de achttiende eeuw naar de Oost. Vader Nathan Fockens ging binnen het
jaar terug, maar zijn zoons Willem, Jacob en Berend maakten carrière in
dienst van de Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie. Willem werd zelfs Edeleer,
lid van de Raad van Indië. Voor hun achttienjarige zuster Anna Wendelina,
in 1758 naar Nederlands-Indië gekomen, wachtte geen carrière maar het
huwelijk. Twee burgemeesterszonen dongen om haar hand. Zij schreef haar
moeder amusante brieven over deze vrijages. Helena kwam gehuwd en wel
haar broers en zus achterna. Deze uitgave bevatde brieven die de kinderen
Fockens in de periode 1748-1783 aan hun ouders in Groningen schreven.
Ze staan vol verhalen over de verschrikkingen van de reis, de betekenis van
familiebanden en netwerken, het bestieren van een huishouding met slaven.
