Grigno
Grigno, together with his hamlets, is the outermost
bulwark on the border between the regions Trentino South Tyrol and Veneto. In the last decades a lot
of craft activities flourished, like manufacturing of
wood, marble, copper and wrought iron. Relevant
things to visit are the Bigonda and Calgeron-Cave,
particular natural ravines to visit only with speleological experts. Part of the territory extends on the Marcesina plateau, a territory with a lot of pastures and
alpine huts, famous for the palaeolithics settlements
near the “Riparo Dalmeri” and the Ernesto-cave.

The Refuge Barricade provides a natural retreat
from the bustle of daily life. We offer 25 comfortable rooms; food and wine are prepared from local
products, mountain bike assistance; authorizations
for collecting mushrooms; horseriding trails trails,
snowshoeing; entrance tickets for over 200km of
cross country and downhill ski trails; trips with snowmobiles, guided trekking, as well as cultural and gastronomic events.

De berghut Barricata zorgt voor een natuurlijke toevluchtsoord, weg van de drukte van het dagelijkse leven. Er zijn 25 kamers van alle comfort voorzien, eten
en wijn worden bereid uit lokale producten: hulp bij de
mountainbike: vergunningen voor het verzamelen van
paddenstoelen: samengestelde routes, wandelingen
met sneeuwschoenen: entree ticket voor 200km cross
country en downhill skiën; tochten met motorscooters;
trekking met gidsen; culturele en gastronomische
evenementen.

Samen met vele dorpskernen, vormt Grigno het laatste bolwerk op de grens tussen Trentino Zuidtirol en
Venetië. In de laatste decennia ontstonden hier veel
ambachtelijke werken zoals hout-, marmer, koper en
ijzerverwerking.Men moet zeker een bezoek brengen
aan de Bigonda- en de Calgerongrot, de schitterende
kloven, die men alleen met een gids kan betreden.
Daar kan men nog steeds wat mysterie vinden. Het
grootste gedeelte van het gebied bevindt zich op de
hoogvlakte van Marcesina, veel alpenweiden en hutten, beroemd door zijn fossielen bij de hut Dal meri en
bij de Ernesto grot.
