Leliekwekerij De Plas

Het nieuwste onderdeel van Artemis Nurseries is Artemis
Lilies in Almere, een kwekerij die een breed assortiment
bijzondere lelies teelt. Hiervoor gebruiken zij bollen
van exclusieve rassen afkomstig van Southern Bulbs, the
Originals en andere Nederlandse bollenkwekers. De met
liefde geteelde lelies gaan via bloemenexporteurs en diverse
bloemenveilingen de hele wereld over. In het productieproces
van Artemis Lilies wordt gebruik gemaakt van de
modernste technieken en logistieke systemen. Samen met
de vakkundigheid van de telers waarborgt dit de constante
kwaliteit van de lelies.
VOORDELEN VAN INNOVATIEVE TECHNIEKEN
Artemis Lilies loopt graag voorop met innovatieve productietechnieken. Zo wordt elke tak individueel ontbladerd in de
nieuwe boslijn en zijn breuk en bladbeschadiging verleden
tijd. Na het snijden wordt de tak namelijk volledig automatisch en individueel naar de boslijn vervoerd en nog slechts
een enkele keer opgepakt. Daarnaast belicht de kwekerij tot
10.000 lux, een record in de leliebusiness. Dit garandeert een
stevige en groene tak, ook in de winter. Tevens zijn alle lelies

exact op dezelfde lengte gesneden, zitten er geen kromme of
gebogen stelen tussen en vindt er geen bladverkleuring in de
bos plaats. De nieuwe verpakkingshoes ten slotte, garandeert
een schadevrij transport. Kortom, Artemis Lilies levert topkwaliteit voor de veeleisende bloemist!

Artemis Nurseries beschikt over een tweede leliekwekerij:
Leliekwekerij De Plas in Noorden. Al meer dan veertig jaar
zijn de werknemers van De Plas gefascineerd door de lelie.
Haar geur, haar kleur, de kracht waarmee de bloem groeit en
bloeit. Zowel De Plas als Artemis Lilies hebben het motto:
enjoy life, love lilies. De fascinatie voor de lelie geeft alle werknemers de ambitie om tot de beste leliekwekers van de wereld
te behoren. En daar slagen zij heel goed in!
UITSTEKENDE EN BETAALBARE KWALITEIT
Leliekwekerij De Plas is een echte pionier in het lelievak.
Als een van de grootste telers van buitenlelies groeit de
wereldwijde bekendheid met de dag. Met bijzonder vooruit
strevende teeltmethoden, bijvoorbeeld in rolkassen en op
kisten, onderscheidt De Plas zich van andere kwekerijen.
In speciale koelcellen worden de bollen – onder andere
vanuit Chili – geïmporteerd, bewaard en voorbereid op de
beste bloeiresultaten. In kassen aan de Nieuwkoopse Plassen
worden per jaar zo’n 5 miljoen lelies geproduceerd. De lelies
van De Plas zijn van een uitstekende, betaalbare kwaliteit en
geschikt voor een brede doelgroep!

The newest division of Artemis Nurseries is Artemis Lilies
in Almere, a nursery that grows a wide range of special lilies
using bulbs from exclusive varieties produced by Southern
Bulbs, the Originals and other Dutch bulb growers. The
lovingly cultivated lilies are shipped all over the world via
flower exporters and various flower auctions. The production
process at Artemis Lilies uses the most up-to-date techniques
and logistics systems. This, together with the expertise of the
growers, guarantees the consistent quality of the lilies.
BENEFITS OF INNOVATIVE TECHNIQUES
Artemis Lilies is keen to lead the way with innovative
production techniques. For instance, each branch is
individually defoliated in the new bunching line and
breakages and leaf damage are things of the past because,
after cutting, the branch is automatically and individually
conveyed to the bunching line and is only handled a few
times. In addition, the nursery has a lighting capacity of
10,000 lux; a record in the lily business. This guarantees a
firm, green branch, even in winter. In addition, all lilies are
cut to the same length, there are no crooked or bent stems
and there is no leaf discolouration in the bunch. Finally,
the new packaging sleeve guarantees damage-free shipping.

Artemis Nurseries has a second lily nursery: Leliekwekerij
De Plas in Noorden. For more than forty years, staff at
De Plas have been captivated by the lily: its fragrance, the
force with which the flower grows and blooms. De Plas
and Artemis share the motto: enjoy life, love lilies. This
fascination for the lily nurtures the ambition in all employees
to be among the best lily growers in the world. And they are
well on the way to achieving this goal!

Leliekwekerij De Plas is a true pioneer in the lily business.
Recognition of our brand is on the increase worldwide Using
pioneering cultivation methods such as movable greenhouses
and crates, De Plas distinguishes itself from other growers.
In special cooling cells, the bulbs are imported - from Chile
and elsewhere - stored and prepared for the best flowering
results. Each year, around 5 million lilies are produced in
greenhouses at the Nieuwkoopse Plassen in the Netherlands.

Southern Bulbs is gevestigd in Chili. In dit bijzondere klimaat produceren en verkopen zij lelie- en tulpenbollen. De
bollen worden eerst op zeven verschillende, uiterst voedzame
productielocaties in Chili geteeld. Hierna worden ze verder
verwerkt bij Southern Bulbs in de omgeving van Puyhue in
twee units van in totaal 16.000 vierkante meter. De bollen
worden geëxporteerd via Southern Bulbs Trading, Van den
Bos Flowerbulbs en andere exportbedrijven. Tijdens dit gehele proces spelen innovatie, technologie, kwaliteitscontrole
en klantenservice een belangrijke rol. Op die manier krijgt
de eindgebruiker de beste lelie- en tulpenbollen op een zo
efficiënt mogelijke manier in handen.

Southern Bulbs is located in Chile. In this exceptional
climate, they produce and sell lily and tulip bulbs.
First the bulbs are cultivated in seven different and
extremely nutritious production sites in Chile. Then,
at Southern Bulbs, they undergo further processing
in two units measuring a total of 16,000 square
metres, the vicinity of Puyhue. The bulbs are exported
through Southern Bulbs Trading, Van den Bos Flower
Bulbs and other export companies. During the whole
process, innovation, technology, quality control and
customer service all play a key role and this is how the
end user gets the best lily and tulip bulbs as efficiently
as possible.
