名古屋大学 国際言語文化研究科 日本言語文化専攻 研究科プロジェクト経費 第33回日本語教育学講座講演会 Supra- and segmental speech planning is syllabic languages 講演者:Dr. Kalinka Timmer (ライデン大学・ポスドク研究員) For non-alphabetic languages like Chinese the syllable is an important planning unit, instead of the segment (phoneme), which is the main planning unit for alphabetic languages during phonological encoding of lexical items. Alphabetic languages are segmental because the individual speech sounds are orthographically represented. Languages with non-alphabetical scripts, such as Chinese, are syllabic because the most prominent unit of spoken word production is a syllable, raising the question whether Chinese speakers mentally represent sub-syllabic units. In addition, based on alphabetic language research it is suggested that segmental and supra-segmental information is stored and retrieved separately, though possible in parallel. However, tone in Chinese languages has segmental properties and possibly similar neural correlates and cognitive processes for consonants and tone. 日程:2013年11月29日(金曜日)午後6時15分~午後7時45分 (6コマ目の授業時間帯) 場所:名古屋大学全学教育棟・北棟405号室 <参加自由・無料> 連絡先:名古屋大学 玉岡賀津雄(たまおか かつお) [email protected]
