Method characteristics
• analyze frequent patterns, instead of each
sentence pair
• process from both sides (source and target)
• generate from sub-trees, instead of full parsed
trees
• bottom-up processing: start from the lowest
unprocessed level
• generate the most general patterns;
subcategorize as needed
