THE PARISH OF ST. ALOYSIUS
Jersey City, NJ
PARISH MISSION STATEMENT
We, the people of St. Aloysius Parish, are united in one faith in Jesus Christ
and His Church. We are proud to be Catholic and express this faith in the
Roman Catholic tradition. As a local church, we encourage the people
already here to welcome those newly arriving to become a unified and
loving family of Christians. We provide for the continuing educational and
formational needs of our youth and adults. In this unity of faith, we desire
to evangelize, to inspire lay leadership and to nurture a sense of ownership
of mission and ministries that incorporate our multi-ethnic traditions.

Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord
Dear Friends,
Today we have begun the celebration of Holy Week. We
will be commemorating the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Christ.
On Holy Thursday, we begin the Holy
Triduum with Mass of the Lord’s Supper.
It continues with the celebration of the
Passion of the Lord on Good Friday. And
it ends with our celebration of the Easter
Vigil on Holy Saturday.
We hope and pray that you and your family will join us at
all of our Holy Week Services. For the complete schedule
of our Holy Week Services, please make sure to take a
bulletin home.
On this Palm Sunday, let the palm branches
we blessed today and which we will bring
home with us remind us that our love and loyalty to Jesus should not fade away just like
the passion of the crowd on the First Palm
Sunday.
May we have a prayerful, meaningful and fruitful Holy
Week.
God bless,
Fr. Juancho

Fr. Juancho

Stewardship Reflection
“Pilate again said to them, ‘Then what shall I do with the man
whom you call the King of the Jew.” And they cried out again,
‘Crucify Him.” - Mark 15:12-13
Jesus told us ‘whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do
for me.” Every day we are presented opportunities to help someone. Every day we have the opportunity to see the face of Jesus in
others and be the face of Jesus to others. Pray for courage to stand
up for those in need of our help.
