Invitation to Seminar Talk Counting holes with Fourier transform Tamás Hausel Section de Mathématiques, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne I will motivate the problem of counting holes on various quaternionic surfaces by recent developments in theoretical physics. An arithmetic Fourier transform technique will be discussed and as an application a proof of a conjecture of Kac from 1982 in the theory of infinite dimensional symmetry groups will be sketched. Thursday, April 9, 2015, 9.45 am Seminar Room Mondi 2, Central building, 1st floor This invitation is valid as a ticket for the IST Shuttle from and to Heiligenstadt Station. Please find a schedule of the IST Shuttle on our webpage (note that the IST Shuttle times are highlighted in lilac): https://ist.ac.at/fileadmin/user_upload/pdfs/IST_shuttle_bus.pdf The IST Shuttle bus is marked IST Shuttle (bus line 242) and has the Institute Logo printed on the side.
