In a project funded by LIFE, the EU financial instrument for the environment, the City of Stuttgart, capital of Baden-Württemberg, along with the Baden-Württemberg State Institute for Environment, Measurements and Nature Conservation (LUBW), experienced consultants and a number of universities, developed a management plan for groundwater remediation. This contains a description of Stuttgart‘s aquifer system in the city centre (Nesenbach Valley), the fate and transport of the volatile chlorinated hydrocarbons in the groundwater, as well as a concept for supporting the remediation measures and natural processes for the reduction of contamination. 12:00 Registration and welcome-snack Find out all about the approach and the obtained practical results at the final conference of the LIFE project MAGPlan on 2 and 3 July 2015 at the „Haus der Wirtschaft“ in Stuttgart. The conference is targeted at specialists from consulting, administration and remediation companies, as well as those working in science and research. On behalf of the MAGPlan project group, I would cordially like to invite you to take part.
