• Uncheck - Allow guests to log in to this computer
• Uncheck - Allow guests to connect to shared folders

setup properly, short name: sysman

• Automatic Login: Off
• Check - Show fast user switching

• Show scroll bars - Always
• Recent items - None
• Uncheck - Restore windows when
quitting and re-opening apps

• Solid Colors - Solid Aqua Dark Blue
Screen Saver
• Start Screen Saver - Never
5. Mission Control
• Set all fields to the hyphen mark • Uncheck all boxes
6. Spotlight - Privacy
• Click +
• Press: shift command c
• Add Macintosh HD
• Click OK
7. Notifications

8. CDs & DVDs
• Set all to - Ignore
9. Energy Saver
• Computer Sleep - Never
• Display sleep - 1 Hr
• Uncheck - Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible
• Uncheck - Allow power button to put the computer to
sleep
• Check - Start up automatically after a power failure

- Restart automatically if the computer freezes

• Uncheck - Scroll direction: natural
• Check - Secondary click (click on right side)
• Uncheck - Smart zoom
• Tracking - About 3/4
More Gestures
• Uncheck - Swipe between pages
• Uncheck - Swipe between full-screen apps
• Uncheck - Mission Control
11. Sound
Sound Effects
• Glass
• Play sound effects through: Internal Speakers
• Alert Volume - 50%
Output
• Internal Speakers
• Output Volume 100%
Input
• Internal microphone
• Input volume 50%
• Check - Use ambient noise reduction
12. Network
Wi-Fi
• Turn Wi-Fi off
• Uncheck - Show Wi-Fi status in menu bar
13. Bluetooth
• Check - On
• After pairing Mouse, uncheck - Discoverable

• Name Computer with Congregation: City (Name) iMac
• Check - File Sharing
• Check Screen Sharing
• ***You may have to disconnect from Messages Screen Share
and reconnect after this step.***
15. Date & Time
Clock
• Check - Show date and time in menu bar
• Time options: Digital
• Check - Display the time with seconds
• Check - Show AM/PM
• Date options: Check - Show the day of the week
16. Remove applications from the Dock
• Right click on the app and select Options Remove from dock. Or,
• drag the icon to the desktop and it will
disappear.
The dock should look like this:
17. Open Applications - Stickies
• Write down all user account names and passwords as well as software names and
passwords.
This helps the user to understand and write down the correct passwords.
When setup is finished be sure to erase all info and quit Stickies.

18. Set Permissions
• Go to: Finder, Select - View
Show Path Bar, Show Status Bar
Press - Shift Command C
select:

Application Support

Right click with mouse
Select - Get Info
Unlock
Click on + to add user.
5. Select: System Manager
6. Where name is added to
list, select: Read & Write.
7. Click gear wheel button and select: Apply to enclosed items.
8. Click - Ok.
Repeat 4-8 to add Sound Operator
Do not close this Get Info window. You will need to perform steps 7 & 8 again
after configuring all applications.
19. Configure Applications
• Launch KH Audio 3
• Right click, select Options,
• Quit KH Audio 3
Keep in Dock

TimeMachineEditor
• Launch TimeMachineEditor
• A user account must be logged in for the editor to function. Have user determine
what schedule is best for backing up system.
• Click - Apply.
• Enter System Manager password. Click - Ok
• Click - Ok
• Close window
TIme Machine
• Select Disk. (Use external or network drive)
• Click - Use for Backup
• Uncheck - Show Time
• Do not turn on
• Close

20. Configure Local User Accounts
• Log in to the Sound Operator account so the account can be configured.
The steps to configure are almost all the same as System Manager.
However only these steps are necessary:

• After
all files have been put in place and all software has been configured in
System Manager, go to: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support
• Right click to get info, unlock window with password, click the gear wheel,
select- Apply to enclosed items.
• Click - Ok
• Close windows.
