The oils are grouped for convenience only into Spice Oils, Seed Oils, Citrus Oils, Herb Oils and Perfumery Oils. Prices are wholesale for quantities of 25kg or more unless otherwise stated. Market Commentary on Export Prices Aniseed oil. Chinese CIF NW Europe. $15/kg. Prices continue to decline slowly from the peaks of over $25/kg of 2011, but still well above the $6-$10/kg range of the decade 1998/2008. Cardamom oil. Guatemala CIF NW Europe. $175-$185/kg. No sign of any reverse in the slow decline in prices to move back towards the peaks of over $400/kg in 2011. Cassia oil. Chinese, CIF. $39/kg. Prices have been relatively stable above $35/kg for the last few years. Cinnamon leaf oil. Sri Lanka CIF Europe. Prices are stable in the range $14/kg, down from earlier highs of around $20/kg. Zanzibar supplies at similar prices. Citronella oil. Indonesia CIF Europe. Prices are stable in the range $20/kg, at a small premium to Chinese oil. Clove leaf oil. Madagascasr. US$18/kg spot for delivery. Although prices are down from past peaks they are still well above the long term trend price of under $10/kg. Current adverse weather conditions and increased demand for the spice may drive prices higher. Coriander seed oil. Russia, spot for delivery. $110/kg and still showing signs of continuing to move upwards. Prices are now double what they were a year ago. Eucalyptus oil. Chinese CIF Europe. U$12/kg, and continuing stable in the range $10-12/kg Geranium oil. Chinese CIF Europe. Stable around $130/kg. Egyptian material at a discount, around US$110/kg. Ginger oil. Chinese CIF Europe. Prices continue to remain firm, around $65/kg, up from around $50/kg a year ago. Lemon oil. Argentina CIF Europe. $46/kg and still rising. Prices are almost double those of a year ago. Mexico, spot, $50/kg. Lemongrass oil. India CIF Europe. $15/kg weakening slowly. Litsea cubeba. Chinese CIF Europe. $17/kg, stable. Menthol crystals. Chinese, India, CIF Europe. $18/kg Nutmeg oil. Indonesian spot. $90/kg, continuing to decline from highs of around $115 6 months ago. Orange pera. Brazil FOB. $5.25/kg, up from around $4/kg at the start of the year. Patchouli oil.
