2015 PARTNER PROGRAM
Partnering with Palatine Park District offers an affordable and
effective way to attain greater visibility within the community.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a variety of safe, enjoyable, and affordable park and
recreation facilities and activities that will enhance the quality of life by
promoting good health and well-being for all residents and visitors of the
Palatine Park District.
Park District Facilities & Programs
The Palatine Park District maintains 49 parks, including the 195-acre, 18-hole
championship Palatine Hills Golf Course with pro shop and clubhouse, 18-hole
disc golf course, 3 aquatic facilities, Palatine Stables, Cutting Hall Performing
Arts Center (a 430-seat auditorium), Community Center, Birchwood Recreation
Center, Falcon Park Recreation Center, Fitness Center, 4 preschool sites,
George Clayson Historical Museum and Library, and the Fred P. Hall
Amphitheater.
Partner Program Purpose
The Palatine Park District Partner Program has been established to:
 Provide program scholarship opportunities to residents with financial
limitations.
 Seek new funding sources to offset non-revenue generating programs.
 Maintain or increase the parks and recreation service level.
 Expand and create new permanent facilities and attractions.

2015 DOG FRIENDLY EVENTS
Hound Egg Hunt  March 28, 2015
2014 attendance: 89 dogs, 300 children & adults
Sponsorship Deadline: February 13, 2015
Dogs hunt for eggs filled with treats and have their picture taken with the
bunny. This springtime celebration for dogs and their owners is held in
Palatine’s Towne Square.
Canine Carnival  July 30, 2015
2014 attendance: 92 dogs, 300 children & adults

Games, activities and a vendor fair all focused on our furry friends - dogs! This event will
take place at the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater.

Musical Matinee  April 26, 2015

The Musical Matinee provides an opportunity for seniors to socialize
and experience live entertainment in an auditorium setting. Past
performers have included Bopology, Switch Time Jazz, and the
Chi-Town Dixie Stompers. This event is held at Cutting Hall Performing
Arts Center, 150 E. Wood Street.


Sounds of Summer  May-August 2015
Expected Attendance: 12,000 children & adults
Sponsorship Deadline: March 30, 2015
Sounds of Summer will celebrate its 28th season in 2015, presenting a series of free
summer concert events at the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 262 E. Palatine Road.
Performances start at 8:00 pm and run approximately 90 minutes. The Sounds of
Summer Program Book includes the complete schedule for the season. A total of 4,000
full color programs will be distributed during all concert events throughout the summer.

YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE
The Palatine Park District’s Youth Basketball League emphasizes the fundamentals of
basketball, sportsmanship and teamwork, while having fun through league play. The
league consists of 12 different divisions. Practices and games for boys and girls in
grades 1st and 2nd take place at Falcon Park Recreation Center. Their season starts in
January and ends in March. Practices and games for boys and girls in grades 3 rd
through 8th take place at Birchwood Recreation Center, Community Center, Plum
Grove J.H., Walter R. Sundling J.H., and Winston Campus J.H. Their season begins in
December and ends in March. Over 800 children are expected to participate in the
Youth Basketball League.
