TRUHOP™ - Shaw Sports Turf

TRUHOP
™
engineered turf systems for all levels of play
TRUHOP
™
The new John Smoltz signature line of baseball turf, Shaw TruhopTM was uniquely created to be the
closest thing to natural grass for baseball fields of all levels. Its revolutionary design mirrors the real
thing in terms of playability and performance while providing durability that natural grass just can’t rival.
Truhop is available in two configurations, each with its own distinct benefits.
• True ball roll – no snaking effect that might slow
down the ball or cause it to shift directions
• No spring-boarding effect – a natural, true bounce for
anticipated catches
• Controlled infill system – reduces infill fly-out
• All weather, 24/7 play – no shutting fields down or
cancellations for rain
• More durable – up to 4 times more play than
natural grass
• Soft to the touch – Non-abrasive, grass like
surface
• Ultraloc® backing provides dimensional stability
and improved tuft bind
Truhop 46 has a 1.65” pile-height and is perfect
for baseball infields, foul lines, warning tracks
and base paths
Truhop 50 is a slightly taller surface - its 1.75”
pile-height offers an optimal surface for baseball
outfields
All of our systems are designed around 6 critical performance tests.

Primary Backing Layers
Three layers of backing provide:
• Added UV stabilizers for an extra layer
of protection
• High strength to withstand forces endured
in the tufting, coating and installation process
• More than twice as dimensionally stable than
the leading competitor
Secondary Backing Layer
Polyurethane backing exceeds synthetic turf
