This range of cables is designed for use in fixed
wiring on ships and offshore platforms and drilling
rigs, especially used where life may be endangered
by smoke and noxious fumes, and where sensitive
equipment may be damaged by acid forming gases.

Conductor Identification

The cores of three-core cables shall be identified by one of the following
methods
a) printing 1,2,3 on the semiconducting insulation screen tape
b) coloured insulation (red, yellow, blue)
c) coloured tapes (red, yellow, blue)
d) numbered tapes
e) printing colours (red, yellow, blue) on the semi-conducting insulation
screen tape
New harmonised core colours or project specified colours can be supplied
upon special request

(1) Conductor:
Stranded Class 2 Tinned Annealed Copper Conductor to BS6360
(2) Conductor Screen:
Semi-conductive tape or an extruded layer of semi-conductive compound
(3) Insulation:
Halogen Free Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) Complying with BS7655-1.2 Type GP5
(4) Insulation Screen:
Semi-Conductive tape or an extruded layer of semi-conductive compound
(5) Metallic Screen:
Copper Tape - Note the tape may be tinned or plain
(6) Bedding:
CSP – SW2 or EVA - SW4 Thermo set Rubber Compound Complying with BS7655, incorporating enhanced
Oil resistance, minimum tear resistance – UKOOA type HB
