PSS: industry transformation
for sustainability and business
Saint Etienne, France, 21 – 22 May 2015
Saint Etienne, Unesco city for Design
The IPS2 Conference strongly contributes to a very active research community; to
capitalize and share a huge body of empirical knowledge and to establish the fundamentals
in a multidisciplinary field. The focus of this year’s conference is on:
- The transformations necessary to implement and boost PSS, both at the level of the firm
(Servitization) and the territory (Ecosystem), covering multiple dimensions: business model
transformation, collaborative behaviour enhancement, cultural change, consumption
model evolution, technologies, etc.
- The needs and difficulties to integrate sustainability and business innovation, emphasizing
on the requirements for new sustainability assessment methods while addressing the
complexity and diversity of PSS, together with the management of the conditions of
positive externalities.
